If you want to save the world. You got to save the children. Set an example for the children to follow, to make a brighter tommorow.

Though the journey seems so long, we know this battle must be won, allthough some times they treat us wrong, my faith in God will be strong.

If your not matching then your clashing, no you cant be right

If your not watching youll be crashing down the road of life.

I agree with you so much. i'm always saying that people need to lead by example but my words fall on deaf ears (maybe because of my age). Its seems the corruption within our religion and society is spreading faster than the speed of light. As a practicing sikh i always try and set an example for the younger generation but so many of them are not interested in morals, they prefer to follow rubbish like rap music that promotes nothing but hatred, negativity and violence. The longer this continues the harder it will be for people like us to show them the correct path.

dont be so hard on your self! look at the examples of Guru sahib...itz not just you...only few follwo Gurbani, Gursikhi!

i fall so short when it comes to sikhi! :|

they say actions speak more than words! i know as a kid i was with two loving sikhs(khalsa)

and then saw few more.....loved the way they walked, talked...

everything they did was so different!

so keep that in mind. someone is prolly watching u and wanting to be like u, do things like the way u do do um(sikh way/proper way). kids need direction, but there is no one to give it to them, thus they fall short on knowing what to do and what is the right thing to do. Communities aren;t the same noe these days. especiallyw here i live. we live so far from each other, sometimes dont even who is living in the next house to us!anyhow thats another story.

in teaching they tell us that "dont tell kids what "NOT" to do...ex: do not touch other peoples stuff. Do not eat ___. Do not Sneez without puttin ur hand in front of it.

there are just to many " do not"! kids get confused...they know what NOT TO DO, but they do not know what THEY SHOULD DO!

SO NOW teachers have to change their "CLASSROOM RULES" do not state what not to do, also state what todo

ex: Do raise you hand to speak in class during discussion. Put ur hand infront of ur face before ur sneeze ! rolleyes.gif yea crazy examples but can;t think of any at this time!..lol

the day our prof gave that lesson/lecture(ofcourse i also had to do the reading from the book to make sense out of it) i was like ohmy.gif no wonder i been so messed up and misrable for past yrs  thats the truth.

(if u dont belive in this, look at kids..they will ask u questions like: is that right? how do u do it?(meaning whats teh right way? am i correct? or am i doing something wrong?) when they dont get a proper answer....they start to assume what u meant and do it that way. kids obseve what goes around them..and their behaviour is the result of their observation of others(people like me who are lost them selves)

and ofcourse there is that thing called :Karaams! it truly is a cycle.

all we can is ardas to guru sahib to keep us on the path of truth and truthful living! one can't do much without his grace.

bhul chuk muaf karni

great post singh jio!

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru jiki fateh!

Americans represent less than 5 per cent of the world's population, and yet they produce roughly 25 per cent of its carbon-dioxide emissions

Its great to see here an American lecturing us on how to save the world! wacko.gif

My view, save the planet and raise your kids right.

Actively reduce your contribution to carbon emissions and aim to go carbon neutral.
