is it true that guru gobind singh jee said that sikhs should not wear the colour red cuz its a hindu colour??

Guru Gobind Singh Ji couldnt have said that because he would have known there are many different types of Hindus...for example those who worship Hunuman (Monkey god) would be encouraged to wear red BUT those who worship Khrishna are even advised to not eat anything that is the colour red and they wear the Yellow colour. There are many diferent sects within Hinduism who have different colours...Kali worshippers wear black...soooo if this was true about sikhs wearing colours to stand out or whatever we wouldnt have many colour choices left. So the Fact we wear certain colours has nothing to do with other religions. Why Should it?
