This geeza thinks we can get Khalistan in India through begging the Indian Govt nice joker http://www.punjabnewsline.com/content/view/2242/38/

This guy like many of us here in Punjab have understood the reality of the situation here.

It is very easy to shout slogans(in the media or on net) for Khalistan and instigate people here from thousands of miles from AC rooms without actually feeling the heat of the events here.

I even doubt if many of those shouting Khalistan slogans will actually come to Punjab even.

Mr Atinderpal Singh, former MP from Patiala who is accused above of talking about getting Khalistan in India was once the leader of KLO(Khalistan Liberation Organisation). He like many others like Sardar Mann,Bhai Bittu have realised that now is the time for getting the rights of Sikhs accepted through ballot rather than the bullet .

Once in the early 1990's when Sikh militants boycotted the polls a big blunder was committed and the subsequent congress govt which came into existence just on a small percent of votes led to the repression and genocide of the Sikhs. Now those who boycotted the polls are that time at the behest of so called Khalistanis outside India have now admitted that mistakes were made and they do not want commit them again.

We must also realise that after 9/11 the whole world situation has changed drastically and empty slogan shouting by us about Khalistan will only give a reason to GOI,badal daliyas,BJP,Congress to beat us up more.

Nothing can be gained by just talking about Khalistan and not realizing the reality of the situation. The reality of the situation is that many of the Sikh youth who were once the backbone of the Sikh struggle are now no longer following that path themselves. Some of them themselves are hankering only after power or their kith and kin are no longer in the Sikhi swaroop.

So at present the first step is to bring back these youths back to the Sikhi mainstream and instill in them a sense of pride for the Sikhi swaroop. There was a time in Punjab in the 1980's/90's when Sikh youth used to feel very proud of being "saabat soorat" and of their "dastaar" and "Sikhi swaroop".But now the situation is almost the opposite .Sikh youth like to adopt westernize look and in doing that they even go to the extent of cutting their kesh and even wearing earings and doing all sorts of funny things which is a pity. But all this has not happened overnight .It has been a slow and steady process which has been going on for many years now here in Punjab. All this has been done at the behest of power hungry politicians who prefer power rather than the promotion of Sikhi in Punjab. The way Punjab has become a drug center is not something which has happened overnight.Sikhs are always shown in poor light in the media so that Sikh youth start hating the Sikhi swaroop themselves. Then they are made drug addicts and illitrate so that they do not even think about their rights. Not only this fundamentalists hindu organisations are now infiltrating every institution of the Sikhs.

The following video of Kathinangal incident shows how fundamentalist hindus are now adopting "Sikhi swaroop" like wearing saffron dastaars to damage the Sikh image :

http://www.akalidalamritsar.com/punjab/Kat...ngal_part2.html

Not only this, the leader of RSS K.S.Sudharshan now has gone to extent of calling on Hindus to wear dastaars and adopt Sikhi swaroop just outwardly. He even goes to the extent of calling himself a "Mona Sikh" .All this is rubbish and is done to downgrade the Sikhs and will continue so long as badal dal,BJP,Congress remain in power in Punjab.

The second step should be to bring in a Panthic govt in Punjab which would reverse all the damage done to Sikhi and Sikh youth in Punjab by previous govts .This govt would then demand the full implementation of "Anandpur Sahib Resolution of 1973" and full autonomy for Punjab and other Punjabi speaking areas adjoining Punjab.

This Panthic govt should then try to bring about ekta amongst the Sikhs and even non Sikhs should then be encouraged to come into "Punjab mainstream".

The Panthic govt will then discourage the infiltration of Biharis and non Punjabis from coming into Punjab because if the trend of Bihari migrations is not stopped not only Sikhs but all Punjabis will become a minority in Punjab.

If GOI wishes to solve this problem then Punjab should be named Khalistan after full implementation of the Anandpur Sahib Resolution but the GOI and other leaders like badal are not in favour of this as they are only after power nothing else.

Even Sant Bhindranwalay wanted the full implementation of the Anandpur Sahib Resolution and also wanted the GOI to tell whether it wants to keep the Sikhs within India or not .

We must also not let GOI and Punjab govt to beat us up with the "stick of Khalistan".Just empty sloganeering about Khalistan will only help GOI,Punjab govt in further beating us.We must also realise that Al Qaeda and USA are now fighting their war at our doorstep.

Who can guarantee that Khalistan will not further disintegrate Punjab into "Jattistan""Ramgarhiastan""Lobanastan" etc etc.

Although Sikhism does not allow casteism or divisions but the reality of the situation is different.

People should know that even Dalai Lama who has been demanding independence for Tibetans has said that he is willing to stop his anti Chinese stand if China grants "full autonomy" to Tibet.

Our only aim at present should be to prevent Congress,BJP,Badal dal from coming to power in Punjab and from further misleading the people of Punjab.

Im sorry if my views have hurt some people but Ive only tried to remind you about the reality of the situation in Punjab.

I would like to encourage an open debate here on this problem as it is we who have to find a solution in our best interests.

Mr. Atindepal Singhs Startegy would be most effective.

As we can see in county such as Canada, Quebec held a refferendum and lost a smaal margin of votes. Quebec almost had there own country.

The same startegy can be used in India. The AK-47 got us no where. that method has failed.

By shouting out slogans such as khalistan zindabad will not get khalistan. by giving threats to te government of india is not going to get khalistan. India has tanks.

The only way khalistan can be made is by votes.

I think mann is a little messed up in the head now. First this guy supports gurdwara sudar lehar. And then when it came time, Vedenti called him to akaal takht, and mann wentt to vedenti and kissed and made up. first this guy supports kicking these mahants out and then this guy go to these mahants.

And then this guy gets his buut kicked by badal goons and those badal goons are those same goons of vedenti. and then vedenti calls him to akaal takht to make him apologize and he goes. Mann has no stance. He is lost.

Atinderpal Singh's party apparently has some following in Ludhiana, but i think it is unlikely they will get far in the elections (or get anywhere at all). It'd be better if the Akali Dal International would go the way of Shiromani Khalsa Dal and merge with Akali Dal Amritsar which is the largest of all pro-Khalistan political parties. But in saying that there obviously is a reason why none of the Panthic parties are willing to work with Atinderpal Singh.

Contesting the elections on the Anadpur Sahib Resolution is the best way to go since this is the only common ground among splinter Akali factions, most of which are pro-India. Aside from the Badal Dal there looks to be at least 5 other Akali Dal's that are going to contest in the PLA elections. In addition to these it looks as though Dal Khalsa and Khalsa Panchayat may also contest some seats leaving the Sikh vote very divided if these anti-Badal groups dont find a common platform to contest on and go at it alone.

Why have many different parties supporting the same aim of a seprate Sikh state why not just join together surely that is the smart thing to do

Merger of various Panthic and so called Panthic dals seems to be a good idea..but only in theory and not in practical.

Just take the example of one Panthic dal :Akali dal (Longowal) headed by Prem Singh Chandumajra.Just few days back Chandumajra was sharing the Panthic party platform along with Sardar Mann and Bhai Bittu at Fatehgarh Sahib and today we are hearing here in Punjab that Akali Dal (Longowal) is soon merging with badal dal on the condition that Chandumajra and his party get some tickets from the Patiala Sangrur region.

One fails to understand why Chandumajra shared the Panthic platform at Fatehgarh Sahib with Sardar Mann when he could have easily gone to badal dal's stage nearby. Was this done to insult Sardar Mann ?SAD(Amritsar) should beware of such people like Chandumajra who like badal are only looking for power at the cost of the Panthic agenda.

Here Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu has to be appreciated who even today ie 1 January at Shaheed Bhai Gurdev Singh Kaunke's martyrdom day openly blamed badal for not caring for jailed Sikh youths even during his tenure and openly criticised badal from the stage .Similarly splinter groups like Majha Akali Dal,Dal Khalsa,Khalsa Panchayat etc ,all of whom are in favour of the Panthic agenda should either merge with SAD(Amritsar) or field their "common" candidates with SAD(Amritsar) so that a 3 cornered contest is ensured in all the 117 seats of Punjab Assembly.

SAD(Amritsar) has to careful in choosing their allies based on certain principles.

I think Atinderpal Singh's party should be having support in Patiala as it was from here that he became MP once.
