Here are some more images of the octaganol marble slab , that was said to mark the spot of Baba Deep Singh Ji's Shaheedi. The Marker was not that old perhaps laid in the early 1950s.

It has now been replaced , as has most of the parikarma - with new slabs.

Here is some footage - from the Punjabi film 'Nanak Nam Jahaz Hai' - which shows the marble slab ( and it also shows the Toshekhana the 'Jilau da Samaan' including the Canopy donated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh (a gift from the Nizam of Hyderabad) destroyed in the army attack of 1984) and you can also see the original Akal Takht Sahib.

'palamrinder' ji has mentioned the gilded panel on the Darshani Deori describing a Miracle - 'Kudrati Chamatkar' at Siri Darbar Sahib - you can see that in this post

Heard from grandparents that sikh sangat was doing kirtan inside harmander sahib and weather was rough rainy/thunderstorm.. Lightning came from window/door into the diwan hall (ball of light/bijli etcc..) paused in still position for few seconds and then made a quick exit without striking anything... thats what i heard when i was kid

I am finally back from India now to my work place after this short trip..

Well I am 100% sure I read this notice somewhere on the parkarma and most likely it was near the Baba Deep Singh Asthan.... I may be wrong in saying that it was written on a piece of marble but it was definitely mentioned on some kind of board or something...

I have no clue of any jatha bashing you guys have discussed above but this missing written piece was the first thing I mentioned to my dad when I came back from Darbar Sahib that day... and also about the bullet marks

My dad's opinion was that there is lot of RSS & indian administration influence so as a result these things disappeared
