legend has it that bhagat dhanna (aka dhanna jatt) was from somewhere around doaba

jalandhar is named after a saint called jalandhari naath (gotta check up on this )

doaba means between two rivers, and the best part is that majority of the Punjabis abroad are from doaba area...no wonder its the most prosperous right now ...ya i know there are big industries in ludhiana, but dunno bout the rest of malwa...and ya, the present capital of punjab i.e chandigarh is also in doaba as u pointed out
