How did this turn into a "complain about a flag that wasnt even burnt post"?

Oooh the bhartiye, they'll make up bogus stories when there's nothing to complain about.

p.s. awesome photos!

Fateh.

This was my first time i had got to be a part of this rally. It was wicked. Though i was quite late but i managed to catch a jatha who were being troubled by police and were arguing. Guess who were they??? BABBAR KHALSA singhs , i said " lao aah tan gall ban gayee" after being searched by police we were let to proceed. A bhai sahab told me tht there were a few informers as well. They were doing c.i.d for police, and honestly police was quite suspicious as well they searched singhs and belongings of singhs as well as a singhni's baby thingi (donno what u call it in which kids are laid and driven around, in panjabi we call it baggi). Chalo , then we proceeded and raised jaikaras and we had a nice march through central london, though i wasn't happy with a few slogans, how the hell would goras understand "babbar khalsa zindabad" "jagtar singh hawara zindabad" "bhai wadhawa singh ji zindabad" and other thousand non engilsh slogans??. Anyway things at trafalgar square were good. And forgot to mention my relatives had also come over from leeds so i got to meet them as well. My cousin was telling me tht this time turnout was quite low as compared to previous years. Anyway still it was good. The speech by that gora postman, kuljeet kaur penji, dhadi sahab's daughter and other people were good. The video presentations on the giant screen were informative.

A CONCERN:

Though Trafalgar square seemd full, how many sikhs were there?? Maybe 2000 or at the most 3000. Now what came in my mind was : From about 550,000 sikhs could only 3000 sikhs manage to turn up to show their concern and solidarity for the most important event in modern sikh history??. I think the turnout at an average mela or gurdas mann show would have been much more than what it was at the square. It really ashamed me to think what were other 99% uk sikhs??? or don't they care anymore about ghallughara, human rights abuses, our genocide and our future aim of khalistan??? we also need to show to our people as well other than the outsiders.

BUT few suggestions:

Things were good by our standards but guys we are still lagging far behind the mark in reaching a wider audience to get our message across. We need to raise the level of our presentation and make it more organised. Things didn't seemed to be co-ordinated. Sangat from leeds left early and others at different times. Can't all ppl come and leave at the same time and make event look more presentable and organised. And we need to be more explanatory as well. I doubt would goras or the visitors have understood what was that all about or each and everything???

Anyway still very very well done to all the organisers and the participating sangat for coming and making our presence felt and at least showing that we still haven't forgotten the past. Lets hope we all sit down, analyse our mistakes and flaws and overcome them to make next gathering a memorable one.

The same happened last year as well, some people also complained about the flag burning. Funny that, don't hear them say anything against the murder of tens of thousands of Sikhs by India but they get worked up over the indian flag getting burnt.

Did you go up to them and put forward your views against the flag burning, did you call them idiots there and then? or are you just one of those who stand there quietly when things go on and then come on a forum to complain rolleyes.gif

Who are you addressing?

Did not see any flag burning, not relly bothered about some old flag anyway.

More important was seeing a really good event ,thousands of Chardi kala Sikhs turned out, Lots of non Sikhs watched the speaches and screen shows in Trafalgar Square. The films of the victims of torture and the killings brought tears to peoples eyes.

Plenty of Indian agents were about as well, so the message to India House was going back real time.

Lots of people were talking about a certain leader in Southall trying to disrupt the rally, some peole have no respect for the victims of brutal oppression.

People who did not attend the rally what ideas do you have about getting justice and what are you going to do about it and by when?

Turnout was disappointing this year, lowest ever but those who truly believed in the cause attended may the Guru Bless you,and may the Guru deal with those who tried to disrupt the march.

The leader From Southall

9am Sri Guru Singh Sabha Park Avenue Southall CCTV Police Units arrived and 6 Vans of Police

Sangat was gathering there to go on Coaches to London

Sohi and Commitee had informed Police that 'extreamists' are going to go from Soutall to cause Major Trouble

As a result of this NO COACHES were allowed on the whole length of Park Avenue, including the Gurdwara

As Coachs left from another road Two Vans escorted them to London, and back to Southall

Samra poped up at the March a guy from Sohi's Commitee, was there on an intelligence mission

Sohi had told Police that effigys were going to be burned by ''Sikh Youths'' from Southall,as they had done son in a Protest agianst sacha sauda,During the March Police stopped Birmingham Singhs due to this top off,and caused major dispruption.
