The last few years I have noticed that certain activities in the langar hall is now become the sole domain of Amritdhari’s. Activities such as preparation of the langar food, (from washing, chopping and cooking of food) to serving Amritdhari’s.

Is the Khalsa turning into a club for the new elite?

i dont know about here in the uk because ive never been stoppded before or anything like that, but in texas everyone does seva, doesnt matter what they look like...

Maybe its because if we did implement that rule, there wouldnt be enough people for seva! Hahaha...

If there isn't anything written in the Reht about it, then just do the seva and prove them wrong..if they take panga, ask them where it says youre not allowed, and when they cant answer you, just keep doing the seva. If they continue to take panga, just thow dahl in their face.

everyone can do seva simron and sangat...no new elite bhai sahib ji...THE KHALSA LOVES ALL

even when i didnt wear dastaar i still did seva and in fact most of the people doing seva are usually non-amritdhari nowadays (at Havelock) loads of th eguys off the boat do seva (moneh) noone seems to have any problem...i still dont get the post, bit of a generalisation init?

I think its the way you percieve things, which is why you think that there is a 'Club Khalsa'......

If you want to help make food for Langar....nobody is stopping you...apart from yourself!

in general, no one will stop you from doing seva. a few minorities (i aint bashing them, just saying) will. but i think for the MOST part anyone can do sewa

Tapoban Sikhs (and maybe AKJ Sikhs) believe only amritdharis should cook food and do seva in the gurdwara.
