It's pronounced ਮਹਾਨ ਕੋਸ਼ :wub:

ਦੁਲਭ = rare

ਕਉਨ = what; ਕਾਮ = use (like work, ਕਮ)

ਅਰਥ = this can mean 'meaning, interpretation' or 'material things, wealth'

(In this case I think it means 'meaning' because Guru Saheb is saying "What use are false displays" as in, what is the real meaning behind showing off. Come to think of it, ਅਰਥ could also refer to showing off 'wealth'.. perhaps someone can help me out here.)

ਮਿਰਤਕ = dead person

ਸੀਗਾਰ = ornament, decoration

ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ = this is made up from two words - ਪਰਮ and ਅਨੰਦ - a way of describing Vaheguru as being of Supreme Bliss.

ਪਸੁ = animal

ਪੰਖੀ = birds

ਤ੍ਰਿਗਦ = insects

ਮਾਹਿ = inside, within.

Hopefully my older brothers Talikhaak/Akirtghan and the rest of the sangat will correct any mistakes I made.

Hanji, I think here it means that the human body is priceless, hard to obtain etc. Actually the reason I wrote rare is because that's what it said in the translation .

could it be that dulabh means hard to find (i.e. rare) because 'du' generally makes the word negative, and labh means find. hence du + labh = hard to find

just a thought, no idea if it's correct or not
