Just A Thought

Guru Gobind Singh Ji is Jot of Akal Purakh. They are jaani jaan so i can't even imagine such thoughts sprouting in my mind. The problem comes when we think of them as a human who had the same mentality we possess. The day we start thinking beyond that will be the day we took first step towards reality.

the guru jis had the jot of akal purkh that is the attributes of waheguro they are not to be worshipped and they are not god they as close as possible to guru ji in the human form was what i was informed but i recently read sant atter singh ji say that "Guru Gobind singh ji was god" the reason he didnt say anything was because he had so much humility , sant ji obviously knows much more then me so probabyl hes right, sorry to be so confusing!

just to clarify, what does the Guru Granth Sahib say about the Gurus? Is it that they were human, or something along the lines that they were very close to God? In either case, I always thought we weren't supposed to deify them...but some clarification would be nice...

I hope this clears it up, but to be sure please read the entire Shabads.

we are also told in Sukhmani Saheb that when a person reaches 'brahmgyani' level, there is no distinction between them and God. However we should everyone equal respect, regardless of their spiritual level, as God resides in everyone. Also we're told that Gurbani is our Guru, our link with God - we bow to Gurbani.

As for the original post, Guru Gobind Singh Ji was never influenced by any external factors like us. There was no sadness at the Shaheedi of the Sahibzade on Maharaj's part, look up Hukam on STTM.
