ocelot, read up on logical fallacies, because you just committed one when you said that "now its hanuman, then shiva or whatever, then porn". That's a slippery slope argument that assumes that two extremes are basically one. Hanuman doesn't equal porn; that is just the most obviously ridiculous thing to say.

Your problem is that you don't see past material reality. If ur worried about images, think about this: Bhai Mardana was born Muslim, yet he went with Guru Nanak on his travels. The man who laid the founding stone of the Golden Temple was also a Muslim. The SGGS has the bani of Kabir, along with that of other renowned philosophers of that time. Now ask "Log kee kehngay?". Do you realize the error? It doesn't matter what the next person thinks. There will always be an overabundance of ignorance; doesn't mean that u should start thinking materially and try to "look" like a Sikh. Try to "be" a Sikh....the rest will work itself out....
