someone mentioned about the sevadars washing the path that maharajh was going to travel along every morning and evening ... just wanted to clarify, that these were campers some as young as 16 who got up extra early and brushed and swept and then washed the path from sachkhand to darbar sahib at 3 in the morning! they then repeated it in the evening for sukhsan!

nobody asked these campers/sevadars to do it, they might have seen some people doing it one day and decided to do it themselves the next day!

we need to think about why is it that at camp when maharajh left to go back to the gurdwara sahib that sooo many people were openly crying, both singhs and kaurs? they felt devastated that guru sahib ji had gone, but do we feel like this in normal daily life..??

i reckon its got to do with the fact that we and they had sangat with guru sahib for the whole week, for many hours a day we sat with maharajh. we started our day with guru sahib in the early morning and we finished our day with guru sahib in the evening. we held guru sahib as the centre of our lives and maharajh was the one we went to for all our questions and worries. maharajh guided us through the entire week by speaking to us everyday. and maybe above all by showing maharajh as much satkar that we insects could (no where near enough), that pyar for maharajh became real in our hearts. when we walked bare footed behind guru sahib, even though the pebbles that the sevadars cleaning the floors mayhave missed were digging into our feet, our minds were on the beauty of guru ji. when maharajh looked down on us from his high stage and we looked up at guru ji, it reminded us of Guru Hargobind Sahib ji sitting on his high takhat at akal takhat sahib.

everyone there felt so much bairaag, even now people i have spoken to talk about how much they miss the darbar sahibs!! not the activities or the talks or anything like that, they say they miss the pyar that the sangat had for each other and the pyaar for maharajh.

we need to try out best to carry on feeling that bairaag in our daily lives now as well! may maharajh bless us with the same kirpa that he did at the camp.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ke fateh

Siki camp was amaazing, a big well done to the organisers that made it happen. Ill try to keep this short and sweet as much as possible!! In our group (9) i think it was we had "kaurageous" members, well when it came to the high ropes we found out just how courageous they were, Gurrry! aka Rocky. THe one and only Penji/Paji if that makes sense aka the kung fu master. This nutter thinks that walking along a tree 80 odd feet in the air isnt difficult enough so he jumps, walks backwards and does a karate kick in mid air!!!

As i said short and sweet

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ke fateh
