What makes me sick is how people support a <admin-profanity filter activated> like Vedanti over Kala Afgana. What has vedanti done that is so good? A few youth asked him some questions in B'ham and he behaved like a MOD EDIT.

Sikhs should be free to discuss their heritage openly. I doubt Afgana is anti-Sikh. Vedanti on the other hand is a uneducated pindu political puppet. It shows you how simple our people are when they blindly follow a bewafacoof like Vedanti. At least Afgana took some time to read an do khoj..even if he is wrong.

Afgana may have a novel point of view but that is no excuse to excommunicate him but not mass murderers like KPS Gill.

Gurbakhsh Singh Kala-Afghana. His supporters hail him as an enlightened scholar but nothing could be further from the truth upon examination of his literature. His writings often indicate a cynical disregard for the most cherished of Sikh institutions as the Khande-ke-Pahul Amrit and recitation of Nitnem. He categorically states that any scripture written outside Guru Granth Sahib Ji is not Gurbani. This includes Jaap Sahib, Tav Prasad Savaye and Kabiyo Bach Bentee Chaupai, which he states were not compositions of the Guru. That in itself would make Nitnem obsolete.The same goes for the writings of Bhai Gurdas Ji and Bhai Nand Lal Ji. If these banees are false then what of Khande-ke-Pahul Amrit? Well he proposes that only Japjee Sahib was recited in 1699. Also, the exclusion of the compositions of Guru Gobind Singh by extension would also invalidate Khande-ka-Amrit.

This person and his web of supporters have sought to discredit the most renown Sikh luminaries of the Panth, dedicated souls acknowledged for their selfless service, and sacrifice. He also denies the existence of a Sikh mystical life. Kala Afghana’s works are banned for publication by the Akal Takht Sahib. He and his supporters continue to defy that ban. Out of all this a pattern now emerges. An attempt is being made to rewrite and corrupt Sikh history and undermine the most basic and cherished of Sikh institutions.

Kala Afghana is the guy who doesn't believe in Dasam Granth, Power of Amrit and he states that event of 1699 Vaisakhi never happened, saying that amritvela is the time for robbers (Chor).. If one still supports such guy then he/she should remove singh or kaur from their name.. its simple as that.. nothing to discuss.

how can anyone say vedanti is better than kala? kala wrote some stupid things, but so did vedanti (advocating the publishing of Gurbilas patshahi 6) vedanti cleared a child rapist (dhanwant sinh) did afgana do such thing? no! vedanti does as badal says, does afgana? no. atleast afgana aint a pawn of enemies of the panth. the book vedanti got published and wanted its katha to be done (GBP6) actually does nindia of the Guru (says Guru Hargobind Sahib was avtar of vishnu) kala afgana never did Guru ki nindia.

You have to be careful. Until we read his stuff and see for ourselves remember that it could be exaggerated baloney. Look at those reports of the Sikh Gurdwara being taken over by Muslims a few weeks back for example..
