11 Million Species?

8.4 million incarnations != 8.4 million species. It is in gurbani, and it is not metaphorical. It's fact. There are 8.4 million reincarnations. Who's to say what counts as an incarnation and what doesn't? Fact of the matter is, there's alot we don't know, and one thing we wouldn't know, would be classification systems. However, we can deduce that Guru Ji was not referring to specific species, if we look at http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=2680

In particular, the second pauri, where Guru Ji talks of people going in and out of reincarnation, it is said, "As beasts, birds, stones and trees - their number cannot be known." Guru Ji did not name a specific genus of bird stone or tree. If species were equal to reincarnation, they would have been named.

All this metaphorical stuff needs to stop because all it is, is trying to make sikhi fit science.
