Follow-up Press Release :

Vaheguru Jee Ka Khalsa. Vaheguru Jee Kee Fateh.

It is with great pleasure to announce that Kaurageous and participants of Quiz Night 2007 have managed to raise £600 for Charity. The funds will be personally distributed by volunteers from the Kaurageous organisation.

Quiz night was brought together by a group of young volunteers from around the country and teams gathered together to answer questions on all aspects of life including Sikh history and popular modern culture. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved, including the those who helped us in advertisement, decoration, question compilation, presentation and back-end admin as well as the participants for making it an enjoyable evening. We will certainly be back next year with a bigger and more extravagant Quiz Night.

This year has really been a fantastic year for Kaurageous as we have achieved a lot. Not only have we been up and down the country spreading our love of Sikhi, but we have also set up centers far and wide to give Sikh women an opportunity to help us and others, as well as make good friends and learn something new themselves. As well as all this, We have ALSO held events from kirtan programmes to talks and worked together with other organisations to help them in their events. We managed to successfully raise money for charity via the Quiz Night as well as the successful Kirtan Darbar which raised money for Comic Relief.

In all, its been an amazing year and we hope, with your help, guidance and support, we can make next year even better, so we can raise more money for those less fortunate than us, and educate those who wish to learn more about Sikhi.

We would also like to wish everyone seasonal greetings and all the best for 2008.

Vaheguru Jee Ka Khalsa. Vaheguru Jee Kee Fateh.

I havent got anything against kaurageous whatsoever, but dont you think that little speach is alot of pump (bigging yourselves up)? I think you need to remember the word nimrata.

Sikhs lack unity. Well done to kaurageous and their sevadaar. but instead of people getting stuck into bigging up their own groups or pointing out things to each other such as "nimrata" or lack of it... we need to remember we are all sikhs and need to unite and support each other in all that we do since we are all part of the same panth...

just my thoughts...

Listen people, i aint a fully pledged KAURageous fan and hardly attend many of their events coz ima Singh right, but you lot really need to grow up and think outside the box.

KAURageous dont big themselves up. They bring to Sikhi what the panth needs most in this age - which is positivity. Without positivity, all we hear of is the negative. KAURageous do a lot for Sikh youth and they have brought together people who, before meeting them, didnt even know what seva was.

I personally loved the way Sikhi Quiz Night was advertised. It was advertised as a positive event TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY. It was a different and unique approach and of course u'll have some twits throwing accusations around of hunkaar and what not, but KAURageous should take that with a pinch of salt and keep on doing what they do how they have been doing it - IN CHARDHI KALAAH.

And as is said time n time again, if you can do better - show them. Dont hide behind a poxy pc screen sitting there munchin' ya laddoos.

ps. I believe Guru Gobind Singh Jee would have been proud of His daughters who are doing great seva in trying to keep the panth in the highest of spirits. So may Maharaj continue to bless you all.

sorry but i was reli direcrting my post at "guru's fateh"

but think before u post on a public forum. i can imagine it takes a lot of time n effort to do such sewa - i appreciate your opinions but think it would have been best to contact them directly when it comes to negativity in particular because the rest of the world doesnt need it. And hey, dont be disheartened by my comments. It doesnt really reflect what everyone else on here thinks. They are all better than me. Im just a moorakh :)
