Hello!

I made some corrections in my "India/religions" in accordance (more or

less)

with your remarks.

I do not have more time now, I write, design my web-site www.amrita-it.com

alone, it grew out of controllable sizes.

I am close to complete the "World" section of it and am planning to

revert

to India within a couple of month and complete it this year. Then -

hopefully - I shall have time to do more (repeated) reading about Sikhs

as

well. I have some literature about it, including Khushwant Singh's

"History..." and also "Gospel of Guru Nanak".

Please read again what I have corrected and send your comments.

With best regards

Tony Halmos

The nanaksar one is from Baba Nand Singh who is a modern day saint who meditated very hard for a long time and is said to have darshan of Guru nanak almost 60 years back. Baba Nand singh revolutionised sikhi and many of his views are taken into the mainstream like how we fold ramala over guru granth sahib baba nand singh taught we should have respect as such. Before then various other bindings existed. Baba Nand Singh was a pure veggeterian and admirer of Bulleh Shah sufi saint, he also had muslim and hindu followers who he taught to be firm in there own religion and not to convert he taught tolerance and his views are accepted in mainstream Sikhi.

He asked for a painting and was given it we have it on the internet. They say after certain number of japji sahibs you can go see it. To be honest all claimed paintings we have similarities seem to be taken from one another. From our history certain things we know are not accurate about all of them. I don't want to go into it otherwise someone will probably try paint a proper one and claim it is the original from next sources.

Guru sahibs forbid there painting or anyone worshiping the paintings or statues some mandirs keep the paintings and some do it's pooja. Guru sahib taught us to do paath and remember him. Guru jis roop is in his Sikhs. No painting remains all are just later paintings how we know is strictly from the art form, this art form didn't exist 500 years ago. Plus muslims are not allowed to do paintings and those who did as acts of heresy where limited in art, western, persian, arab, central asian and indian arts were different and all developed over time like today we have 3d graphic to make newer things and images.
