I know Sikhi does not condone violence unless the actions are just, but what are the parameters for this?

Is it justified to kill a man who abuses and mistreats his wife? What if the police, despite being involved, take no action?

Is it justified to kill a criminal who repeatedly escapes justice, either through loopholes in the law, or is just too slippery for the police to catch?

Is it justified to kill a drug dealer to prevent them from carrying out their criminal actions?

Is it justified to kill a paedophile who, despite having served a sentence, continues to abuse children?

Is it justified to kill someone to ensure the safety of your family, even though there is no immediate danger (eg person makes death threats and is likely to carry them out but hasn't so far intruded into your home)?

And what of torturing? Is it acceptable to slowly torture a criminal before killing them to extend their suffering? Or is it better to kill them quickly so that they endure little pain/suffering?

I'm not about to go on a vigilante spree or anything like that. More curious has to how such circumstances would be dealt with in the way of Sikhi.

Guroo Maharaj said that the sword is justified only after ALL other means have been exhausted. Torture is definetly a NO NO, we are Sant-Sipahis, not just sipahis, what is the daya in that? You fight as a last resort because you have to, to defend yourself, to defend others and to defend dharam. You have to look at each case individually each time, why would you kill someone for any of those things? The objective is not to punish, but to stop them doing so much harm to others, there are alot of other things you can do then take someone's life to achieve this.

Though remember sikhi doesn't shy away from abit of roughing up if need be lol
