waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh!!

when baba sri chand (Guru Nanaks eldest son) met Guru Raam Das Ji he asked Guru Ji why his beard was so long. and SatGuru Ji said "Its so long so i can use it to wipe the feet of great people such as yourself" and Guru Ji bent down to do so and baba sri chand moved back in suprise and said “this humble nature of yours makes you worthy of being the Guru. i do not have that humble nature which is why i was not worthy of being a Guru.”

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh!!

Its so sad to hear that people use the word "Giyani" and dont put "Jee" at the end. Its partly parents fault. Dad's usually go home and make jokes bout giyani eating too much Karah etc, so the Children are bound to say stupid thing.

Its funny, cos when Hindus or muslim refer to sikhs as Sardar, Most of the time they put "Jee" at the end and when we call ourself stuff, its just plain old rudeness.

People who judge,on the bases of how others are following sikhi better than themselves are hypocrytes. :T:

If we want to make comment on what a singh with long beard should do, we need to grow a long beard ourself and set the example. :@

Just my thoughts, being a giyani's boi blush.gif

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

Whover posted that message needs to learn more about Sikhism before going around posting on message boards. How could you even mention a Sikh cutting even one strand of hair? When i read that, i was shocked! Come on...

We keep our Kes because it is Guru Ji's Hukam to. We are not allowed to cut, trim, wax, thread, laser remove etc...EVEN ONE STRAND OF HAIR. This is Guru Ji's Hukam, it doesn't matter how long your beard is...I know Bhai Sarwan Singh personally, he has lots of Kirpa to have a beard so long, and he is very proud of his (i mean Guru Ji's) beard.

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

yea this was written by a mona who know the importance of keeping hair. I'm just wondering how someone with such a long dhari should be keeping it. Over their shoulder or what? I really dont agree with how he says "it seems very uncomfotable" because nothing's uncomfortable to someone when they get used to it.
