lol...forget that....

Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji himself went and gave darshan and blessings to Kauda Rakhsh a man who ATE PEOPLE!!!! Never mind in the form (as it happened he was trying to eat Bhai Mardana at the time..or so I heard) he still did it. B)

Isn't it wrong of Sikhs to idol worship? A picture is after all only a picture. It is not the Guru.

Thank Vaheguru Guru Nanak Dev Ji was/is so compassionate. We seem to have fogotten that quality.

Great post ^_^^_^^_^^_^

i was waiting if someone write this....

i wonder which one will be more worse...

1) A butcher who still try to earn honest living though he has pic of guru nanak there...

2) A soldier with pic of guru nanak in his wallet..killing another soldier (of other country)

3) A amritdhari sikh, who cheats, always lie, has no nimarta

Butcher is butcher by his profession....and ofcourse Jassika ji in her last post made a valid doubt

Its easy to c, someone doing crime in front of cop, aaaaaaaaw that means...our cop is pic of guru nanak blush.gif

i wonder again, what u mean.....either to dive in ocean without completing 12 grades..out of them one is no idol worship...

isnt it?

vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw!

vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!

I agree very much with this post, but I do have one concern.

For example, if instead of meat, this person was selling alchohol. The same arguments could be made, but if this person is a sikh, and thus shuns alchohol because it is bad and wrong, then is it ok for that Sikh to take part in making other people drunk as well? Meat is similar: if this person believes that eating meat is wrong but still sells it to others so that they eat it too, does this violate his moral duty as a Sikh?

just wondering.

Did anyone try to talk to the butcher about it ?

Did anyone try telling him not to do so?

If not then whats the point in saying anything?

Remember Bhagat Sadna was a butcher too! Did that make him unfit in God's court?

How many of us NOT think bad thoughts sittin inside Gurdwara? How many of us NOT look at people having useless stuff in mind while sitting inside Gurdwara? How many of us NOT do stupid things at home where we have gutke or even prakash of SGGS? So are we any different from this person?

Lets try to look at ourselves before we point fingers at others.

veer ji,

your doubt is abs. valid, and i agree with that.

But again, difference will be in meat and alcohol.

Again..arguments could be forwarded, saying....meat is allowed..

so i do understand your concern but..again we'll land up in controversies!

All i m requesting sangat is to do is (1) lets improve ourselves 1st; (2) Talk to the man about it and make him aware that its not right. Once we do so, everything will fall in place. Maybe he will turn out to be an understanding person and give up his practise, and who knows by Guruji's meher might get another job and quit eating meat himself pray.gif
