Windows Vista Gets Stuck On Start Up

go into safe mode and remove that driver that u installed for sound. dont install any drivers and tell me if it starts. if not then have a look at event viewer and tell me the name of the most common or newest errors (ur link didnt work)

i had a feeling it could be driver related, if it was released couple days before ur comp went bust then thas probably the problem.

The most common error is 'DistributedCOM'when i go in to detils most are different faults eg:

DCOM got error "1084" attempting to start the service WSearch with arguments "" in order to run the server:

{7D096C5F-AC08-4F1F-BEB7-5C22C517CE39}

DCOM got error "1084" attempting to start the service ShellHWDetection with arguments "" in order to run the server:

{DD522ACC-F821-461A-A407-50B198B896DC}
