I guess it depends if the oath-taker is a witness or a prisoner (obviously you are not a prisoner)

I doubt they'd let you take your shoes off etc, you'd have to get all that cleared,

my law class observed a number of trials with Sikh and Muslim defendents, they were prisoners or witnesses in all cases and simply swore on a ramala-covered gutkha or the koran.
