Oath In Court

Does any one know the process for a Sikh when taking oath in court???.

I have a pending case in the next few weeks, iv emailed my lawyer awaiting reply, just wanted to know if the sangat have any insight so i can cross ref.

If thats the case, am assuming they wont have a issue me going out the court room washing my hands and taking off my shoes ?. does this request have to be made to the judge prior ?

I guess it depends if the oath-taker is a witness or a prisoner (obviously you are not a prisoner)

I doubt they'd let you take your shoes off etc, you'd have to get all that cleared,

my law class observed a number of trials with Sikh and Muslim defendents, they were prisoners or witnesses in all cases and simply swore on a ramala-covered gutkha or the koran.
