The Sikh nations respected religious personality,Baba Takhur Singh Jee was born in 1915,village Eechogill, Dist Lahore (Pakistan) to the respected Baba Bahadur Singh and Mata Prem Kaur Jee.

Both his parents were Amritdhari, who recited many prayers daily and had unshakeable faith in the guru .After the partition they came to India, where in village Sadaruala , near Makhu , Dist Ferozepur, they started to live. From birth Baba jee was forever meditating, merciful, peaceful hearted, imbued with spiritual energy and had unshakeable faith in the Guru. From a young age they would not waste their time playing or talking .When a little older, they started helping his mother and father in running the household, doing which he would forever attune his concentration to the one intoxicating Naam Simran. From childhood ,Baba Jee used to share his earnings/food/belongings with others as he saw Gods light in all ,and was always inspired to help others being engrossed in the seva and simran. Baba Jee’s mind forever longed to be in the precence and seva of a true Gursikh/Brahmgiani.

They learnt through others that Brahmgiani Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee Khalsa along with his Jatha were doing Sikhi Parcher- who are respected as great intellectuals and who have much blessings of Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee. Baba Jee left home and went to Bhindra in Dist Moga where Khalsa Jee resided, their Baba Jee took Amrit from Panj Pyare. Khalsa Jee recognised Baba Jee’s spiritual state and thus put him in charge of Langar, this seva was performed with much love and commitment, after 2 & half years seva Khalsa Jee accepted Baba Jee i

nto the Jatha and taught him the knowledge of god.

Until Khalsa Jee went to sachkand, Baba Jee did seva of Garveye (close associate) for 22 years, Khalsa Jee being happy with this seva blessed Baba Jee with many gifts. They blessed him with a great spiritual state .They said ,’’A time will come , when you will perform the greatest seva of all . After Khalsa Jee went to sachkand, Baba Jee carried on seva of Langer and sangats, with Sant Giani Kartar Singh Jee Khalsa , and forever remained imbued in Naam Simran . Sant Giani Kartar Singh Jee had much respect for Baba Jee & would discuss decisions to be made with Baba Jee. This time was a critical period for Sikh’s as there were many efforts being made to silence the Sikh community, as a political and faith group. Sant Kartar Singh Jee Khalsa held 37 major processions which woke the sleeping Sikh masses to their identity. The government were trying to silence Sant Kartar Singh Jee Khalsa and were making plan’s to arrest him, Santh Jee said the follwing in response to this, ‘’If the government arrest me, then after me Baba Takhur Singh Jee will be responsible for Damdami Taksal. They can give the seva of leadership to whom they please.”

After Sant Kartar Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindra Vale ascended to Sachkand, Baba Jee appointed Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa the leader of Damdami Taksal, Sant Jee would always heed Baba Jee’s advice.

In July 1982 Sant Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa began the Dharam Yudh Morcha to free the Sikh’s from oppression of the government and made Amritsar their permanent residence, and Baba Jee was given the seva to look after Gurdawara Gurdashan Parkash Mehta. In June 1984 the government attacked Sri Harmander Sahib and Sri Akhal Takhat Sahib martyred countless Singh’s and Singhnia. After the attack Sant Jee went underground, in the absence of Sant Jee the Damdami Taksal seva was given to Baba Jee by the Sangat, which they are performing to their best currently, he has guided the Damdami Taksal through testing and difficult times,

and his wisdom has shined throughout.

Baba Jee has kept the Damdami Taksal Parcher countinuous, he attends many functions throughout the world. Thousands have been inspired through parcher organised by Baba Jee and have taken Amrit. He has fought cases for arrested Singh’s and has assisted those still in jail, in whatever manner possible, Shaheed’s families have been provided for and are still being supported.

He restarted the great tradition of Sarbat Khalsa and they performed the reconstruction of Sri Akhal Takhat Sahib with much physical fervour, many other Gurdwaras have been built and are being built/renovated.

Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj B-block was built in Sri Amritsar in memory of the Shaheeds of the encounter with Nakali Nirankaris of 1978. At Sri Anandpur Sahib on Kiratpur Sahib Road a Gurdwara was built to benefit visiting sangats. In memory of Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Jee Khalsa a Khalsa academy & a hospital have been built at Mehta. Baba Jee is respected throughout the panth as a very spiritual/gifted leader and he is a shining example of a Khalsa. When they utter Vaheguru Jee Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Jee Kee Fateh peace is brought to the minds of thousands.

this is just a breif histroy of baba jes life

so people can educate themselves and watch their mouth cause they say the follow vaheguru je, but vaheguru jes is totally against wat they say

guys.. there's no use of discussing this thing on this level here on the forum. Lets not start having arguments, as we all know these have been of no use in past..

It might be true that Baba Thakur Singh Ji believes that Baba Jernail Singh Ji is not a shaheed.. but on the other side we all also know that 'antim' ardas of Baba Jernail Singh Ji has been done at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib ji...

So if someone wants others to 'obey' the will of a Maha Purakh (Baba Thakur Singh Ji that is) I also want to ask the 'opposing party' to obey the hukam and will of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib ji..

So it's best to stay quiet and keep your views to yourself...

first of all can i say i dont wish to offend but then again i have no allegiance to any jatha, which many of you do, therefore u will say and do anything to defend them whereas i have no hesitation in finding 'faults'

and nope i don think i have fallen to any propaganda, i just say what i think is right, forgive me if it untrue

and those quotes are very nice, i accept them as the gurus word

but how can u label anyone a sant? sant is a 20th centruy thing is is not? back in the day, mahan gursikhs were called baba or bhai not sant, please correct me if i am wrong

baba thakur singh wasnt a memeber of the panthic committee accoridng to my facts(correct me again if i am wrong), but a person who was, and sat there and made the declaartion, bhai dhanna singh of the taksal says that the declaration was made by the will of the militants not of one baba and the kcf was made by the panthic committee not by a baba

and ok i accept ur superior knowledge that baba did have input into the sarbat kahlsa of jan and april 1986 but he was not the only one, u seem to give him all the credit

and i do expect him to shout out loud that he is khalistani and the taksal is khalistani and khalistan should be made, he is the leader of the oldest sikh seminary, he should come out and shout from the roof tops he is for khalistan, even if it means being arrested or killed, by coming out i think it will show defiance that is much needed in punjab right now for pro khalistanis

i have only ur word that baba wasnt there will gill came to the taksal, but i will accept it

but the very fact he backed rode simply because he was sant jis newphew shows his lack of j

i know rode was disowned, he runs his little paper from jalanhdar now and no one pays attention to him but at the time, baba should have had more insight than to back a weak minded person as jathedar of akal takht

u say the sarbat khalsa made him jathedar, yet at the same time say baba restarted the sarbat khalsa and had influence over it, so in effect he did make rode jathedar

i will still say that he has put the movement back by not accepting sant ji as shaheed, no leader can come to the forefront due to that

im not doubting his spiritual prowess but as a political leader he has failed in my opinion

i accept ur knowledge in that u say he his training singhs, i accepted that before, and also accept the taksal gives shaheed families help but at the same time, they dont have that aanakh anymore which they did have during the time of sant ji, i accept they are rebuilding, that is a fair point, but i still say blind allegiance to him or to anyone or to any jatha is not the way for forward in practical terms to make khalistan, it only creates division

again i wish to be forgiven for any insult to him or to anyone

yes, many people were called baba and bhai

u are correct veer je

but people like baba buddha je were also brahm gianis

even guru je did namaskar to baba buddha je and held them in the highest esteem

but people were also called sants

like sant main mir

and veer je, u shid check out these things like rode in greater detail

jhamka has already given a good argument against ure questions against baba je

and if sant is a 20th century thing, y wud guru je write about sants?

just because we call someone baba or bhai doesnt mean they were not sants or brahm gianis

true, akal takht did do ardaas

but first of all, it wasnt under the true jathedar of akal takht, i beileve it was under vedanti, im no sure

and second, sarbat khalsa was not completley involed in that decision

a part of the panth was left out when they did the ardaas

and again, as I requested your earlier, please do not keep on defaming views on Sri Akal Takhat Sahib ji in public like this. If you dont' wish to follow the hukam, that's upto you, but this a Panthic forum which is being run by Singhs who associate with Taksal, AKJ, and other Panthik Jathebandi, and over all and for most important, many, if not most, of the visitors here do not align themselves with any Jathebandi but Sri Akal Takhat Sahib ji and Panth Khalsa so please think about them before posting..

This is not a Taksali forum, just like it's not AKJ, Nanaksar, Tarna dal or Dodra.. This is PANTHIK..

and the only reason i said that was because whenever somone gives proof that we shud say sant je is shaheed, they say akal takht said so

well, the truth is it didnt

its great to be panthic

but panthic mean everybody

and since they did the ardas, they have asked for maafi from sant baba takhur singh jee. and sant takhur singh jee was sitting in a hospital in i believe uk and did ardas that he wouldnt die before sant jee came back. and he has also said he will see khalistan before he dies. nuff said.

thankyou for outlining that this is not a forum for any jatha but for khalistanis and khalistan issues

secondly,i agree the bani talks about sants, but i repeat no one at the time apart from the gurus were called sants, all other great sikhs were either bhai or baba, i have never read a sikh history book which says otherwise, if there is then forgive my mistake, to be labelled as a sant is a late 19th century early 20th century thing

and the replies given to me before i do find satisfactory since they come from (i think) a member of that particualr jatha which i am talking about so there is obvious bias to the max, and again no evidence no real facts just the word of one old man again

akal takht is sovereign no matter what, it is not functioning at its best at the moment, but always remember it is the throne of the immortal and cant be questioned

and anon, what if baba dies and sant jee hasnt come back, what if he dies and khalistan isnt made?? what then?

will he look like a liar? can u call him as such?

will u stop believing the word of one man

if what he says does happen, then i take it all back and will beg for forgiveness before the baba himself

yes akal takht is supreme

but, the jathedar isnt even there!

its the jajthedar favourded by sgpc, which has no rights over akal takht

jathedar ranjit singh said nothing about sant je being shaheed, because some of the panth will be hurt by that and left out

if sarbat khalsa makes a desicion, then great

but that never happened

it was vedanti!

so akal takht has not spoken yet becuase some of the panth still belives sant je is alive

y do u think baba je has been in severe condiitons in hospitals in the past, but baba je contunies to live on??

cause as guru je says, even if the moon has to be destroyed, the words of a sant always must come true
