To have a programme, to honor the memory of Santa Singh, is a kick in the teeth to Sant Bhrindawale and all those that sacrifised there lives with him for the panth.

He might have been forgiven by the Akal Tahkt, but that is no reason to glorify him.

Where were the majority of the Nihangs, when darabar sahib and the akal takht along with all the other gurdwaras were being attacked ?

Where were they, when our sisters and mothers were being harrased and raped ?

Santa Singh worked for the Indian Govt straight after the attack on the Harimandar Sahib , Akal Takht and the burning of the Guru Sahibs texts in the Sikh Library. There was no shame in this man that he was working for somebody who hated the Sikhs and had just murdered thousands of men, women and children. Thats why he was thrown out of the panth by all Sikhs.This is in contrast to the Nihangs before the arrival of the British who fought to establish and then defend an independant Sikh state such as Akali Phula Singh.

I will always question the credibily of any report (published or not) but will never question any of Sant Jarnail Singhs speeches.

The video previously shown only has Sant Jarnail Singh stating that Baba Santa Singh didn't support the dharam yudh morcha but Sant Jee doesn't go into any more detail. Are there any more speeches of Sant Jee out there that can given us more detail about Baba Santa Singh?

I had always kept Baba Santa Singh in high regards because of his gyaan but after watching Sant Ji saying he did not support him in the Dharam Yudh Morcha my opinions have dramatically changed. By the way, can anyone tell what exactly did Santa Singh ask maafi for? It would be great if original hukamnama is posted here?

Santa Singh openly went against Sant Jee and the karkoos as mentioned before.

In 1986 Sarbat Khalsa, took down the Government built Takht and rebuilt it with Kar Seva done by Baba Thakur Singh

They excommunicated Baba Santa Singh out the Panth.

In august 1986 Santa Singh held his own Sarbat Khalsa. Many Singhs of Budha Dal left him after 84.

Apparently in late 90s when Santa Singh became old Balbir singh took him to akaal takht, had a closed door meeting and he was given maafi. Not sure who was there, who wasnt, what he said or even if santa singh spoke - he wasnt well and cudnt speak much or even if the event happened. Did he ask for maafi against the singhs, against killings of singhs that he agreed with as was aligned with government. - doubt it

The budha Dal beleives there jathedar to be jathedar of akaal takht and they are the panth, so i dont understand why and how he could ask for maafi as they dont see the supremecy of akaal takht jathedar anyway. Baba Chet singh and all the Mukhis before them were and are highy respected.
