MPs have been invited.

The Sikh Federation (UK) targeted MPs in and around London - awaiting confirmation from some. Other organisations are/were also inviting MPs - to date they have had no luck.

Aim was to get 2-4 non-Sikh speakers. Working on this. A rep from the NUS was also to be organised - given the heavy involvement of the Sikh student movement in 1984.

We will share names of non-Sikh speakers towards end of the week or Saturday - you need to be aware there is always pressure from 'friends of India' on MPs (that we name) not to attend.

Youngsters (those born and/or brought up in the UK) are taking the lead in Trafalgar Square. The main organisers have in the past and are again linked to the Sikh Federation (UK) - speakers are however drawn much more widely.

GNNSJ Soho Road have announced that they have booked 26 coaches for the remembrance and freedom rally to mark the 26th anniversaryof the third Sikh holocaust, Operation Bluestar. Coaches will leave at 8.30am with the blessing of baba ji, on the sun 13th june. All bham and sadwell 9sangat) requested to attend. Pls fwd Fateh

Checked with contacts in Birmingham, who said the Soho Road Gurdwara were surprised to learn of the text, which appears to be bogus.

The telephone number for the Gurdwara is 0121 551 1125 if you wish to find out what if any arrangements have been made.

The risk is the Gurdwara might find hundreds turning up on Sunday morning expecting coaches and it is difficult for them to go public to say they have made little or no transport arrangements for the Sangat.
