Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

I have a tendency to make myself every once in awhile. I have a Kidney diseases; its one of those things if I take care of myself its nothing and if I don't it could do some serious damage. I am not into medication because I just have no faith in them anymore. Majority of the time I am fine but whenever I talk to my doctor or look at my blood reports or even if I take my prescription I end up spending the next couple in lots of pain and all the symptoms of the disease show up. When I avoid those 3 things, I am in perfect health. But I can't always avoid those three things, so I need some Gurbani I could recite on those days to help me get through them.

Some background on why I don't like medication. Last year at the age of 19 after one year of horrible back pain (to the point I was bedridden) i was told I had a unexplained Slip disc. It was so bad that I was sent to a specialist and he said surgery was the only way to go. I didn't do it, I took the medication for a little bit for the pain but it didn't help either. I went to Harmandar sahib and came back perfectly healthy, you can't even tell I had a slip disc. That was also the point I stopped my medication for my kidneys, my results didn't change at all from the time I was taking the medication. So I just stopped believing in Medication.

The medication has also left me with a new disease that caused abnormal hair growth on my face. But Waheguru Ji's grace is such that in my whole life I have not done nothing to remove my hair (I well admit to bleaching them twice when I was foolish). I am Happy with my extra hair, Waheguru has helped me accept it.

Anyways, I distrust medication and I am fine with out it. Is there any gurbani to help when I have my down days?

Sometimes I just love sikhsangat, when I stay on topics like this rather than going on to political or where people turn the very good topic to hatred topic with just one statement.

Hanji bhenji, whenever in pain or tyring to forget pain, and you don't have time to sit down and recite Sukhmani sahib or dukhbhanjani sahib, say this

Gur merai sang sda hai naalei

simar simar tis sda smalei

guru myrY sMig sdw hY nwly ]

gur maerai sa(n)g sadhaa hai naalae ||

My Guru is always with me, near at hand.

ismir ismir iqsu sdw sm@wly ]1] rhwau ]

simar simar this sadhaa samhaalae ||1|| rehaao ||

Meditating, meditating in remembrance on Him, I cherish Him forever. ||1||Pause||

qyrw kIAw mITw lwgY ]

thaeraa keeaa meet(h)aa laagai ||

Your actions seem so sweet to me.

hir nwmu pdwrQu nwnku mWgY ]2]42]93]

har naam padhaarathh naanak maa(n)gai ||2||42||93||

Nanak begs for the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||42||93||

just keep saying it and think about Guru Arjun dev jee sitting on garam tavi. your pain will go away.

waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru waheguru.
