so whats going on, amrinder has told the other states to stuff it, hes no longer giving punjabi paani for the sake of his peoples crops? why did he give water in the first place? why the treaties?

are the states bothered? are they taking action, are they writing petitions and taking punjab to court (by going to the supreme court)? i am suprised if they have said punjab can keep its paani, i thought the states would fight. but if you think about it, if you have alot of something, and a bit is taken away, you dont notice it. but if you have little of something, and its taken away from you, you notice it instantly.

manmohan singh is not liable to the punjabi people, he cant jus do things to suit us, he has to think of the country as a whole n judge his actions on that. clearly u should b able to c that, but no u jus thinkin about wot would b best for our own people!!

Center govr. are worried that if Punjab states passing their own laws...other states might also do the same. i know some states have already done such things before Punjab...but you know it is always Punjab that has to "fight" with the center to get it's rights.

Sikhs in INdia have never been united and that is the main reason things never get done. I have a feeling there is going to be a big tamaasha in INdia where Manmohan Singh and Amrinder SIngh will go head to head, even though they represent the same party(Congress).

He has not said that. Water is still flowing to Bikaner and to Haryana. It would be stupid to stop these canals as Punjab depends on other states for coal etc which it uses to produce electricity. It could turn into a situation like the oil blockade which backfired on the arabs. :T:
