Why Did The Cycle Of Birth And Death Begain?

Sanjat Ji

I was thinking how did the cycle of birth and death or 84 lakh joons start. I mean what started the cycle was it kind of like what the bible says that Adam and Eve sinned thats what how sin came into the world. Was it like the Bible when someone did something wrong and God started the cycle.

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh ji

That is a very important question. I believe that earlier souls were freely flowing in the Universe. Possibly not staying at one place for long. But in some ancient mix of water, chemicals and energy flow, first basic microorganisms were formed. And souls of that time found some sort of resting place in the barely there definitions of first life forms. And they became attached. They were attached to the bodies, to the life forms. When the life forms evolved and began dividing (cell mitosis). It caused souls to split yet stick with new life forms. Over years, souls kept on sticking to their life forms, yet they evolved. And souls forgot Waheguru. And this is the best story I could cook up for now :| but the important part is, to know where you have to go. Where you have to be. With Waheguru. Have His Darshan. Guru's Darshan. And then there is no birth and life, friends or foes. Just Guru. Waheguru.

Khalsa Ji

The cycle of rebirth will continue until such time that one loses their Vashna (desires). It is our desires and Haumeh (ignorance) that keeps bringing one back to Maat Lok (This world).

1. But why did the cycle of birth and death start, was it that the early humans God created did something wrong and God started the cycle for humans to find there way back to Him.

2. When the first humans were created they probably were saints because none of the bad ideas or anything bad could have distracrted them from remembering God.

3.So when the early humans died they were like saints so why would they go into the cycle of birth and death.

4. The story of Adam and Eve does make sense out of this, but what is the Gurmat and Gurbani say about it.

Someone has to ask a Giani or a Real Saint because this is driving me crazy.

Firstly we should remember that all this is the Khade of Akaal Purkh, everything is in His Hukam. Punn, dhaan, paap are all according to His will. He set the whole thing in motion.

There is a shabad by Guru Nanak Dev Ji that says that when there was nothing there wa Akaap Purkh and He sat in deep contemplation for eons and eons, then when He willed it everything was created and the whole evolution thing was set in motion into His manifest universe.

Actually some of the stories in the bible are true, including the existance of Baba Adam and Bibi Eve. But according to gurmat it is all under His hukam. In SatYuga life expectancy was very long, people lived for thousands of years and there was no paap a tremendous amount of tap had to be done to reach nirvana, all the souls lived in harmony be they devtay, animals, fish, birds or plants. But as the yug changed to Tretra then the life expectancy halved and paap came into existance and discord appeared amongst souls. Reincarnation was already in play but due to increase in paap the soul was now further and further away from nirvana. In Dwapra Yug, as can be see in Mahabharat, deceit, lies, jeleasouy, ego increased many times and so paap increased accordingly.

In KalYuga, well what can we say!

The only good thing here is that Akaal came in the form of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and his 10 jyotes to show us the way and of all the yugas we have to do the least amount of simran to gain mukhti.

Things are going to get worst and worst, even amongst the Khalsa you will see lakhs of Khalsa in bana and outwardly appearence but very very few - virla, virla - will be actual true khalsa.

That's actually quite worrying to read. I guess all we can do is focus on ourselves and let Waheguru deal with the rest.
