Vaheguru Jee Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Jee Kee Fateh!

Is there a proper way to dispose of Keertan CDs that do not work (old/scratched)?

Is it okay to break them and throw them away?

Thank you jee

Old keertan CDs/DVDs could be wrapped neatly in a paper or cloth and handed over to the Bhais at Gurudware as they would not how to manage such things. Usually such CDs, birad Gutke and anything with Gurbani is given for jal parwan but that is again something you could ask sangat/ granthi at any Gurudwara and they can guide you best.

Please do not break or throw them away. Hope this helps.

Each Gurdwara should have a small place near the entrance where sangat can place items like Biradh Gutkay, Gurbani Cd's, old punjabi newspapers with Gurbani tukhs, old pictures of Gurus in newspapers, wedding cards with Guru photos or gurbani tukhs. These can then be collected by the Giani and disposed off in accordence with respect and satkar.

Even loose kesh that come out of our kunga should be disposed off correctly.
