Hindus follow the dharma that Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji says he does not follow. Where is Guru Sahib grace in Hindu religion. Also times have changed. Back then the MAN was the runner of the household. They brought home the butter and bread. They made the deals in the house and chose the kids and their wifes religion. So the hindu woman became a Sikh along with their children. Now take this idea to this time and you will beaten by this hindu woman where she will make HER kids as hindus. What can the man do...nothing. The Hindu woman works, makes the decisions of the house, and is going to teach her kids into Hinduism. Also back then woman were subject to men and didn't have ego the size of elephants. Guru Sahib liberated them, but woman understood the importance of letting the man who ran the household to choos the kids religion and she followed. She had a say, but understood to be humble. Today ignorant woman are thinking they are right and will make there kids into hindus. Today the man is run by the woman in these liberal and westernized homes. Also Hindu traditions show that the woman is the runner of the house and this is actually seen in many hindu households. You should see this one hindu i know...when his wife calls...he runs home doesn't matter what he is doing....lol Mix this tradition with the western way of thinking and you can just imagine what is created.

Times have changed, the way society is run has changed, the freedoms people have changed. You cannot take what took place in history, especially this kind of stuff and apply it today. If you were speaking about a Gursikh man and woman as a couple in the past and applied that today, it can be done.

I believe little boys shouldn't play with guns...if you catch my drift. Please take the time to understand the cultural revolutions and how freedom does not mean the person is always going to act out in good intentions. Stuck up is the slang word for what i am saying.

Marriage is a comittment for life. If she really loves you, she must love your relegion and convert to Sikhism before getting married to you. If she does that, there is no problem for you guys to get married and raise your children as Sikhs.

You know its not really that complicated as we think it is. It all depends on what matters the most to the 2 of them. If Sikhi is what matters the most, the original poster wouldn't even be in this situation to begin with. If its the girl, then he can do whatever he feels is best.

the SIKH way is that you wouldnt involve yourself in a relationship in the first place.

Learn something about the religion before you tell people what is right and wrong according to sikhi
