There is a need to recognize that Sikhs are being manipulated to separate from each other on issues that are very clear cut and disrespecting Sikhi and the Gurus. Today many people intentionally or unintentionally are playing tricks with Sikhs minds.

When an issue arises in the Panth, where Gurmat is being insulted by those that wear the Sikh Bana, themselves. Certain individuals down play the disrespect toward Gurmat by making jokes. These jokes are very offensive to the Sikhs that stood up for Gurmat in the past and those that are standing up today. One example of this is the thread on Simran Beadbi by the 3HO. Certain people are making jokes and completely trying to take the seriousness of the issue away. Ask yourself if Sant Baba Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa was present to witness such acts, would he make jokes of 3HO beadbi of Simran?

The new generation of Sikhs are making very serious issues as just jokes. There is a time and place for jokes. Go to any event with Chardikala Singhs and they have drawn a line between jokes and serious matters. This is not just prevalent on forums. Sikhs have been so oppressed that they can just make jokes to make themselves feel better as no Beadbi has taken place. It's a defence mechanism to not recognize the seriousness of the Beadbi. And the less informed on Sikhi just laughs it off with the other Sikh making the joke.

If this continues, then a time will come when Sikhs themselves are making jokes about the attacks on Sikhs in 1984.

Our number 1 goal as Sikhs is to practice rehat and then we can identity when there is a need to laugh about matters and when serious matters need to be taken seriously. The Gurus did not raise us to laugh at Beadbi's taking place on Gurmat. There is a need to wake up to beadbi taking place.
