SSA,

In Sikhism, we have 5 kakaars, 5 takhts, 5 gunas, 5 banis, and 5 pyaare. Why is this number used so much? Does it have any significance? I thought it might have something to do with Punjab being the land of 5 rivers, or maybe because we have 5 digits on our hands and feet, and 5 senses. Therefore, it is a unique number in regards to our placement in the animal kingdom. Anybody have any ideas?
