when science cannot answer any questions, its when religion steps in.

science can cure our physical illnesses, but science cannot cure our spiritual illnesses.

science can give us the medicine we need to cure our sore throat, but science cannot cure our illness sore thorat bugging our spirit.

anti biotics can cure all sorts of diseases, but that same anti biotics cannot cure our spirititual diseases.

but, there is one thing that religion beats science by miles (as always). religion has a cure to beat spiritual and physical diseases.

bolo ji, what is it?

the answer is simran. only that can help you.

what can simran exactly do?

the answer is simple, read the first ashtpadi of sri sukhmani sahib.

it'll take a long time, but you'll get there. one little baby step at a time ji.

im seeing kaam being highest becuase i think its natural so it would be harder to control, while the others u have mental contol over

no ji, not everyone will krodh, or lobh or moh, but everyone will definatly have ahnkar in them. people have that much ahnkar in them they have to go anger management. but true anger management is the same as kaam, krodh, lobh, moh management, that is simran.

never can one control the 5 vices without simran. its plain fact. simran makes you feel more relaxed to the world around you.

sangato, we all have our vices ji.

"By washing with water the dust of the besmeared hands, feet and other parts of the body is removed.

The garment polluted with urine is washed clean by applying soap.

The soul defiled with sins is cleaned with the love of God's Name.

By mere words of mouth (statements) a man becomes not virtuous or vicious.

The often repeated actions are engraved on the heart.

Man himself sows and himself reaps (he reaps what he sows).

By God's Order, O Nanak! man comes and goes."

pauri 20 in japji sahib.

take dirty clothes for example, when we come back from wherever we went, it will have meel (dirt) at the end of the day. it may not show it, buts its a fact, that it will show up in a good few days time.

now take us, when we came from god, we were clean. but when we came

back to him, we had a bit of meel (dirt or in this case paap on us). it didnt show as much (just like on the first day we wear new clothes, they dont always show there and then), but as went through our joons, it just went worser and worser, and bigger and bigger. in the old days, we could control the 5 vices, but as our paaps went major to major, we could no longer do so, because we werent bothered in washing it off.

with clothes, we can clean them, with anything, soap, persil, daz. any washing powder.

a gurmukhs washing powder is simran, we cannot control our vices, because we didnt bother to in our previous lives, hence we are so krodhi, or so kaami, or so ahnkari etc.

we have now got 5 giant monsters in us, because we carried on doing the same things in our previous joons. now they have become to big to handle. but they will be cut down to size, with simran and paath.

now turbanatar, you may control your vices, because you probably did simran in your past life. but how many of us can control our 5 vices? for most, this is probably the first time they have done simran in this life.

it is time to make a start now, and end the joons we have been put through. and the first step is to do simran, then we can control our lust etc. and we can succesfully say, that not only did we go ahnkari management, but also kaami, krodhi, lobhi, mohi management center. it succesfully worked, and we didnt even have to pay a penny (or a cent in certain parts of the world).

    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
