‘I proclaim the truth, listen all, those who are absorbed in love realise the Lord’

This tukh from the Sikh nitnem always hits hard, it resounds in my mind at the crescendo of the prayer. It always resonates deeply, and it seems to that the Guru intended this to be the case. He emphasizes that true love is the only way for mankind’s emancipation. Without love and passion in our prayer, simran and seva, it is just empty ritual. In the words of the Sufis, it is love that is the Divine wine that fills up the cup. This verse by Guru Gobind Singh daily reveals to us the ultimate truth, and is specifically in the third nitnem bani the Tav-Prasad Svaiye, which is a part of the longer Sri Akal Ustati. In the rest of the composition he reiterates that without bhavana or heartfelt devotion all religious rituals, however elaborate and splendid, are nothing but mere illusions. What is surprising is that a composition that shows the universal nature of Sikh Dharam is now subject to a constant barrage of doubts and criticisms.

It is very obvious in IJ Singh article that he is saying Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji Maharaj did not write Akal Ustat. Let's for a second just say that IJ Singh did not say it, we made a mistake. Has IJ Singh written an article where he says Shabads in Gurbani are questioned by Sikhs on whether Guru Sahib wrote a certain Shabad or if Bhagat's Bani should be included in Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj? Many Sikhs question shabads whether Guru Sahib wrote it and why hasn't IJ Singh ever wrote in an article we don't know who the author is as they are unknown? This is an attack on Sri Dasam Granth Sahib ji Maharaj and IJ SIngh is trying to be clever.

Sikhnet should know better not to put up such disgusting articles that only take a person away from the Guru. Sikhnet for this very reason should not be supported in anyway. Guruka Singh in his facebook post has made it clear that he supports such writting and even try's to be more clever than IJ Singh by giving a supporting reasons for IJ Singh's article. So if your supporting Sikhnet, then your supporting a site that slanders Guru Sahib. I have nothing against Sikhnet as they have done much seva (selfless work), but lately they have moved away from seva and become a marketing site that will go where the money is. If you continue to support such sites then they will continue to spit hatred toward Guru Sahib. Which makes you the cause of the problem. Take their funds away and they will understand the Sikh sangat is not happy with them. I stopped supporting them long time back because of their manmat ways.
