Jalandhar, April 21-

Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, a convict in the case of assassination of former Chief Minister Beant Singh, has asked Akal Takht to issue an edict against Congress and BJP directing all Sikhs to have no association with these parties.

Rajoana has also requested the Jathedar of Akal Takht to issue a directive to the ‘present Akali government’ to remove Sumedh Singh Saini from the post of Director General of Police as he is allegedly responsible for the killings of Sikh youths.

Rajoana, whose hanging stands stayed as for now and is lodged in Central Jail at Patiala, in a two page letter written to Singh Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh, the Jathedar of Akal Takht, has said that Congress hurt the sentiments of Sikhs by attacking Sri Darbar Sahib in June, 1984 and then by killing thousands of Sikhs in November 1984.

In his letter, Rajoana goes on to explain that Sikhs have not been able to get justice from successive Indian governments and Indian justice system even after 28 years of these two incidents while some self-styled Sikh leaders in the garb of panthic leaders have been trying to cover up the act of Congress, all these years.

‘As Sikhs have not been given justice in the last 28 years I ask Akal Takht to come forward and issue a ‘Hukamnama’ that if the Indian government and the Judiciary does not provide justice to the Sikhs, then no Sikh should have any sort of relation with Congress. The Rallies and Meetings of Congress should be banned in Punjab and any Sikh having any relation with Congress should be declared ‘traitor’ of the panth’, says Rajoana to the Jathedar.

Coming to BJP, Rajoana says that as Lal Krishan Advani, the National Leader of BJP takes pride in his pressure on Indira Gandhi regarding ‘Operation Blue Star’, an edict about BJP also be issued wherein Sikhs should be asked not to deal with a party like BJP in anyway.

Rajoaana has requested the entire Sikh Community, Taksal, other religious organizations and radical sikh groups that they should also request in writing to Jathedar of Akal Takht to issue such ‘Hukamnama’ so that it gets issued in the 1st week of June as a tribute to the Sikhs who have been victims of injustice.

‘After waiting for justice for a long period of 28 years, a Hukamnama asking for ‘boycott’ of killers of Sikhs shall not be a matter of criticism, but a matter of pride’, concludes Rajoana.
