I think we should refrain from doing things which makes us look like Muslims e.g. flag burning. It doesn't really achieve anything. There are other ways of showing one's discontent towards governments.

Flag burning, effigy burning; I agree, it doesn't send out the right message. It may be a great visual indication of people's feelings about a certain country but it just comes across as a bit backwards.

Banners and posters featuring satirical content / subtle humour to highlight a situation are the best way forward.
