Kirpan Causing Pain-Confused

Has anyone else experienced their sri sahib causing them pain as they sleep? I have recently gone from a "standard" kirpan to a 9inch (one size bigger) taksali kirpan. But since I have been experiencing a lot of aches to arms&upper body only when asleep though.

Anyone any ideas as to why this is happening? Or if this is common?

Right..so you wear your Kirpaan to sleep, and then your arms and upper body start hurting. And you're not sleeping on it.

Honestly doesn't make any sense. I don't think the two are related.

I used to bruise my hip bone (purely because I bruise easily) when I slept on my kirpaan, so now i wear a kamar kassa and keep it over my stomach which stops it moving around. Try that.

Have you started wearing a Kirpan recently? In the beginning, the Kirpan only hurts when lying on it, otherwise it should not. I am so used to sleeping in my kirpan that most of the time I'm probably lying on it but can't feel it, it feels comfortable.

It could be that you are either sleeping on your kirpan without knowing or you are sleeping in uncomfortable positions. Otherwise, if not, I dont think it has anything to do with the kirpan because you might have weak arms/upper body due to lack of nutrition. You could see a docter about it.

try changing the size of the gatra, just a guess maybe a longer gatra will make it easier for you to move the kirpan with you while you sleep, rather than it being more in one place if the gatra is shorter.

i think seeing the doctor is also important just in case.
