Sikh police are like this in the UK too. Give a SIkh a bit of power and they become nutters. The UKBA are another example.

It seems from his name, Ismail Bhapha, that he is not Sikh. Regardless, the video being floated by the above major press outfit is a misleading version of another misleading video.

The original video does not include the cyclists own admission that he was mouthing off to the officer. The original video also had the guy pulling his single cuffed hand away twice. The first time the officer pulled it back. The second time, the officer punched him. It is possible it was more than twice as the original video does not capture thier encounter from the beginning. This press video here is obviously intentionally edited to show just pulling away once to sensationalize. A cheap move by a corrupt media outlet.

I am not saying it was correct to punch the guy in the face. Police are trained to ensure control of a situation physically. The guy was under arrest and was not cooperating. However, the officer may have had other physical choices than punching him in the face. This video and the original are not enough to draw conclusions from.

Having said the above, yes agreed punjabi men have a serious problem knowing the difference between Sikh courage/valour and the punjabi strutting of a village <banned word filter activated>.

I know name sounds bit out of place for a punjabi sikh name..may be their ancestors were muslims at one point..not sure..but you can clearly see from the video- he is wearing kara.

That police officer regardless of his religion, race need to be fired and prosecuted for showing misuse of his power.
