whats the difference between akj and tapoban? :D i dont understand they seem the same

I believe the major difference is that Tapoban is more stricter in rehit than AKJ.

All tapobaners consider themselves AKJ.. i know we have some gursikhs from there who read this site, so they may reply as well.

The only thing is that Tapoban is trying to keep the rehat of khalsa from guru gobind singh jees time, that kept by bhai randhir singh jee and those who started the jatha..

I like to conider tapoban the taksal of the AKJ :nihungsmile:

Tapoban is a name of a Gurdwara Sahib and AKJ is name of a Kirtani Jatha. :D

I think tapoban is just a name.. I really hope sangat don't start the trend of saying to someone.. "He/she is Tapoban sikh" i really like to hear "He/she is a sikh" instead of using Jathae bhandeyy.. Of course they are chardi kala singhs.. but we should have united universal name :D

Tap = Bhakti and bun= forest. so tapobun= forest where you do bhakti. tapoban is the just name of the guruduara as mentioned above. They call it "Tapoban Sahib". It should be only named "Guruduara Tapoban". They miss use the word 'SAHIB' they do keep some rehit stricter than other singhs. yes and they do call themselves part of Akhand Keertani Jatha. <admin-cut (NO NINDA WILL BE TOLERATED WHATSOEVER) >
