if you take one step towards Maharaaj; Maharaaj, will take MANY steps towards you.

thats how i understand it. i used to think it meant Maharaj wud take a hundred thousand steps or suming but i remember someone saying this wasnt the case...

BHai Gurdas ji tell us the genrousity of Guru mahraj by saying

Charan Sharan Gur EEK bhenda jae chal- satgur KOOT bhenda age hoy let hae -

i.e you tak ONE STEP towards the Guru, iy you make ONE EFFORT towards you Guru, tha might be in the shape of an Ardaas, attending a Sikhi Camp, Rehinsabai Smagam, Giving your head to the Guru. BHai Gurdas ji says - if you tak ONr step , onr effort towards Guru ji, Guru ji takes THOUSANDS OF STEPS towards you to pick you up!

This is how compassionate our Guru is! You just need to mkae ONE effort, and Guru ji will take the rest of the responsibilty and bless u more and more!!
