Typical tactic some people on these forums have.....

as soon as your guys' views/claims are thrown out of the window, you guys start begging mods to close the thread.

Even the wives of pitaji thread got closed as did a few others in which myself along with others tried to bring forth decent arguments and created a decent discussion.

I see we are getting into my sant/bhai/gyani/jathedar is better than yours discussion..not my cup of tea..its job for over zealous cultish chelas to fight over it..i am done with this thread.

There are no over zealous chelas except for the ones drooling over the thousands of so-called sants.

Couple of points dasamsarblohgranth

1. Those orders of speak of , they are traditional orders they already are accepted by khalsa panth both puratan- budda dal and sgpc and present sri akaal takth sahib jathedar- search youtube- nirmale/udasi seminar with jathedar gurbachan singh ji highlighting contributions of them. If you have issue with them please present your case to sri akaal takth sahib.

2. You keep mentioning names of sant jarnail singh bhindranwale and bhai sahib bhai sahib randhir singh ji as if sikhi started with them and ended with them..no doubt they were great mahapurkhs but at the same point you are also saying - lets stop drolling over sants..bit contradictory don't you think? why? ..Are we getting into mine sant is better than yours discussion..there are quite bit of equally same avastha wale sant diversity in the panth and lets leave it that. Don't want to fight sant silly wars.

3. I have no problem with any sants but i do have a issue with over zealous chelas mindet of any sant be it nirmala, taksali, akj, dodra, nihangs, sevapanthis, neeldhari, naamdhari etcc etc etc

Some points....

  • Oh...are we talking about the same Jathedars who are already very controversial and haven't really done anything for the panth? The same ones who gave Badal that honourary title, etc? The same ones who gave the neeldhari baba a puratan shastar from Khajana of Takhat Sahib? The same Jathedars who were put infront of camera and video and glorified by the neeldhari baba? The same Jathedars who were flown in and paid for to be part of Panj Piaarey for the baba and chela's Amrit Sanchar? That same Amrit Sanchar which was potentially video recorded and glorifying pictures taken? I can keep on going...

  • How is it contradictory? On one hand are some of the greatest Gursikhs ever....and on the other hand I won't even say anything to give a description. You look at their lives and compare...you will see who is deserving to be drooled over, praised and served as per true respect of a Sant.
  • Real Sant STANDS UP against corruption and oppression.......the rest just run away. Look at the lives and then you will see. How many so-called Sants ever stood up? There are thousands of so-called babas, yet none ever did anything except enjoy their own life while Sikh Panth is getting diluted and deteriorating.
This pavitar vakh is been misused by groups and people by confining it to only outer rehat. I have never seen single person or parchariks to talk about inner rehat when they mention this shabad. They are without any question or doubt confining sikhi in a box- they are guilty of this and are also hypocrites of not talking about rehat in its totality. But they still do it, because its very easy to follow outer rehit ..but inner rehit different ball game..they themselves cannot do to its fullest
What about inner rehat-

Whole point of outer rehat so that it helps with inner rehat or goes inwardly, Sants already have fought major dharam yudh inside with sukhsham inner shastars/kirpan- sat, santokh, gyan, dya, sam dristh (panj shastars) and killed the enemy - kam, krodh, lob, moh, ahankar with their inner kirpan/shastars while chamdristh people judge others based on the outer bhek.
Sants topic aside, on one hand, you have people focus entirely on outer rehat, and on other hand you have students focus on inner rehat only. Although inner rehat is aim- outer rehat cannot be ignored fully and its there to help if need.. Until right balance is striked there would always arguments and bickering. So lets all work on stuff we all lack focus on both inner rehit and outer rehit.
  • I gave two examples of those who were perfect on outer and inner Rehit (Baba Jarnail Singh Jee, Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Jee).
  • That is the way true a Gursikh is. Let's stop making excuse for those who don't keep full Rehit/way of life permanently put into place by Guru Gobind Singh Jee.

here people are talking about sants.. please see what bhai gurdas ji ( a sant in the times of our gurus ) has written about a sikh, the UPMA of a sikh is so much, think, how much will UPMA pf a sant be..

So that the touch of the feet of the Sikhs treading that path may keep me engrossed in the remembrance of my Lord. I may then pray before these Gursikhs to take me·-the sinner across the worldly ocean. (672)

Regarding panthic matters sri singh sahib jathedar gurbachan singh ji usually consult jathedars of all takhts before making an decision..yes everyone should be put under scruntiy, yes he did wrong when giving badal honory title but you cannot use example to reject his jeevan and his decision totally..thats short sighted..now he is being used as pawn by singhs abroad- use sri akaal takth jathedar whenever it suits them..on one hand singhs abroad seek his intervention regarding dhundha and other heretics and on another hand same singhs reject his authority whenever it does not suit to them..hypocrisy in its finest.

You obviously haven't understood concept of hakum completey, whoever its destined to become sant soorma becomes.. its seva which is given by guru maharaj and since you haven't understood concept of hakum you may have preconceived notions..sant jarnail singh picked up dharam yudh morcha when he got darshan of sri guru gobind singh in hazoor sahib and got his permission.. So in your mind any sant who were silent regarding corruption and opression occuring else where or in town is not real sant? wow what a logic..so lets go through list..so you are implying sant bishan singh ji Muralewale, sant sunder singh ji bhindranwale, sant gurbachan singh ji bhindranwale, sant thakur singh ji (jathedars of taksal were not real sants because they didn't proactively stood up against corruption and opression?

As i said earlier with all due respect to mahapurkhs, sikhi didn't started with them or ended with them..not sure bhai sahib ji but sant jarnail singh bhindranwale had immense respect towards diversity of panth and sampardavas maryada- nirmale, udasi, sevapanthis, nihang mahapursh..went to toronto taksal jathedar house over the weekend, they understand diversity aspect in the panth and have satkar of all mahapursh not just their own, have immense respect towards various different maryada of traditional sampardavas they even personal collection of nirmale and udasi ...its only handful who idiolize one aspect of sant jarnail singh life and use him to spread their idiolized sharia parchar.
Panth is garden of sri guru nanak dev ji where all flowers co exist, gardener(guru maharaj) give water to its garden with one non dual dristhi...some factions within singh sabha hated any kind of diversity in the panth..rest everyones knows.

    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
