Pandit Maan Singh Nirmala

Recommended Posts

Pandit Maan Singh Nirmala was the teacher of many famous Nirmalas such as Pandit Gulab Singh. Does anyone know if Pandit Maan Singh has written any book? Books by his students are widely available but would like to know more about him.

NeoSingh or anyone else could help. Possibly also other information of Nirmalas who wrote in the early part of the 18th century (+/- contemponaires of the Guru).

Thanks.

Nirmalas did great work in field of sikh literature. Most of them were firm believers in bani of tenth master and Narian Singh ji did monumental

work in translating Dasam granth sahib in Punjabi which is a difficult work.

Quite a few of them were and are messed up by influence of hinduism. You have no idea about that.

Still some take out their akhada procession at Kumbh mela. I do not understand why

they tarnish the good work of other Nirmalas.

But they had abiding faith in Bani of tenth master unlike some who are propagating against

it in a subtle way.

They used to take out GGS in processions in Kumbh Mela historically. They were attacked at times by Hindus there, its also recorded. Some of them are messed no doubt but they did not doubt the authority of SGGS like some people do.

They never created doubt on bani of Dasam pita and are in the forefront in exposing anti sikh agents

who are creating doubts about this bani.

But why should they be attacked by Hindus when they are part of them taking out procession at haridwar

and following Hindu traditions? They have their akhada there.
