My mother and father made them the food but they were really nice though. Knew we were hindus but said our fight is not with you but with the Indian government. If anybody bothers you let us know and they left. The ironic thing is that it was the hindu villagers giving them food and shelter while the sikh villagers wanted them out. But I digress.

I will not even get into certain khalistanis calling up Chandigarh university where my mother taught and telling the hindu employees to leave or get killed. But I digress.

At least 32 people were killed and 25 wounded when gunmen attacked a village crowd celebrating a Hindu festival in the Punjab Thursday night, the state government said today. Another 12 people were killed in separate incidents Wednesday night.

In Thursday night's incident, Indian news agencies quoted the police in the town of Jalandhar as saying the terrorists, believed to be militant Sikhs, burst into Kari Sari village about six miles from the industrial town of Hoshiarpur and opened fire, killing both Sikhs and Hindus. No arrests have yet been reported in the incident, but police officials are conducting a major search of the area.

The Hoshiarpur incident was believed to be the worst attack carried out so far this year in the campaign by Sikh militants for an independent nation.

In separate incidents, Sikh extremists killed at least 12 others, including eight members of a family, in the Punjab on Wednesday night. The violence in the Punjab occurred during Holi, a major Hindu festival in northern India that celebrates the advent of spring and the victory of good over evil.

Killings of Hindus in Kashmir, Punjab, and the North East - any mention of them?

Why you ask the Babri Masjid was destroyed: Multiple reasons.

1) Ayodhya is the birth place of Lord Ram and the Babri Masjit was built on top of the existing temple as described in the Babur Nama

2) Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav opened fire on the karsevaks who up until that point were protesting peacefully

3) The destruction of the Babri Masjid was revenge for the mass killings of Kashmiri Pandits 1 year earlier

4) The final reason is because that is what happened to kashi vishvanath, Somnath and hundreds of other temples in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
