Need Book On Hindu Fundamentalism In Punjab Before And After 1947

Recommended Posts

Arya Samaj became very active after the British took over the Punjab and spread a lot of anti Sikh sentiment. Giani Ditt Singh countered their propaganda and challenged the Mahants who had turned Gurdwaras into virtual Mandirs. Look up Giani Ditt Singhs publications where he took the Hindu fundamentalists apart. The Sikh revival began with the Singh Sabha movement.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਿਹ

Is there any book which specifically talks about Hindu Fundamentalism in Punjab before and After 1947 ?

If it helps, we have a few books written by A. Walter Dorn (Canadian Forces College) which has made a comparative study of world religions.

Would you be surprised if the authors subjective assessment showed how Hindu, Judaism and Islamic scriptures are more extreme (and advocate more violence) than Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji?
