saadhhoo dhhoor karo nith majan sabh kilabikh paap gavaaein ||

I take my daily cleansing bath in the dust of the feet of the Holy, and I am rid of all my sins.

Pen Jee,

First of all congrats, cause you have written such a Truth, which many of us while reading it in the Bani, turn our faces by looking the otherside.

But let me add also something on this wonderful topic; of course, the Charnamrit of such Bhagats or Guru Sahibans, can definetely rid us of our sins; but that is also true, no True Gurmukh, or Sadh, will ever tell us to do that, out of their utter humility....they will always say I am a servant, a sevadar of the Sangat .....

But that much we can surely say, the real swaroop of these Mahapurkhs, Sant Janas, is their inner swaroop of Nam or Shabad which is pargat in them, in each pore of their being.

The physical form they assumed , is just to dispel our agyanta and give us the updesh of His Simran.

This statement is beautifully described in the Bani, In Raag Ramkali Dakhni, of First Patshahee Dhan Dhan Satguru Nanak Dev Maharaj:

ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਪੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆਇਆ

Aapae Guramukh Aapae Dhaevai Aapae Anmrith Peeaaeiaa

आपे गुरमुखि आपे देवै आपे अम्रितु पीआइआ

He Himself is the Gurmukh,

He Himself bestows the Ambrosial Nectar;

He Himself leads us to drink it in

Then with His Grace and our kamaee of that Nam, Amrit will be produced within us, which will erase all our impurities, and this means, that Nam will be revealed within us, or we can say, it will become pargat within us, and thus, we will attain the state of bliss, of supreme happiness, which is the natural state of Shabad, of Wahiguru Akal Purukh.

The Bani referring to this Amrit, produced as a consequence of true Simran, says: Nanak, Naam, maha rus meetha.

In the end, the purpose of any true Sant Jan of any time or place, will always be to draw our attention to the permanent and changeless reality(NAM) within each one of us, which Wahiguru has kept in equal measure in each jeeva, irrespective of zaat, paat, dharam, mazab, color, class, genders .... or any external factor.

As long there is life, in any body, that reality is within, and it is there where we should direct our attention, by His Simran, in order to achieve our goal in merging in Him and becoming one with Him.

Sat Sree Akal.

My truth is what the Guru Sahibs have uttered, which can be accessed via the Shri Guru Granth Sahib. For me the Gurus were the Lord Incarnate even though they said not to address them as such. Some will quote that those that do will burn in the pits of hell. I'd happily go there just for saying the former.

I'm also taught that the Prophets, Saints of past have all been sent by the Creator so not to insult and ridicule them. This is Sikhi for me, but no, there is no comparison to the Gurus. [but I don't have to insult others for me to emphasise this as you've done]

You can read this excerpt from Sikhiwiki, it explains that Vaheguru sent many people on the Earth, but all of them failed, with the exception of Guru Nanak and his "physical successors"(All Gurus are one).

So they should be insulted with insults such as Paedophile? You can justify it all you want but it's irrelevant.

Apology accepted.

Guru Angad Sahib Ji lived at Khadur Sahib in the Punjab, India. There lived a yogi named Shiv Nath in the same village. Yogis were saints who did not marry. They had a great hold on the people. Shiv Nath was very proud. He became jealous of the Guru's fame. So he started making plans to get rid of the Guru by fair means or foul. He was on the look out for a chance to make the Guru feel small.

Once, it did not rain for a long time. There was a danger of drought. So the people were worried. They went to the yogi and asked him to do something about it. The yogi replied in anger, 'How can you expect rain, you fools, when you look upon a married man as your Guru? Turn him out of the village and you will surely get rain."

The people were carried away by the yogi's words. They went to the Guru and said, "O Guru, the crops are dying for want of rain. If you will kindly leave this village, the yogi can save us by bringing rain for us."

"Dear friends," replied the Guru, "Rain and sunshine are natural. They are in the hands of God. Still, I don't mind leaving the village if it is in your interest." The next day, the Guru left the village. The people went to the yogi once more to ask for rain. The yogi could do nothing against the law of nature. It did not rain. The people waited for some days but then became very angry and realised their fault. They dragged the yogi out of his hut into their fields. It so happened that it rained in every field into which they dragged the yogi. So everyone was keen to drag the yogi into his own field first. They dragged him this way and that till he was sorry and accepted that he lied about the Guru.

The villagers were very sorry to have turned the Guru out of the village. They realised their mistake. They went to him and begged his pardon. They brought Guruji back with great respect. The Guru told the people to have faith in the Will of God. He then started a common kitchen in that village, with the help of his followers. This was known as the 'Guru Ka Langar' ("the Guru's Kitchen"). Anyone could come at any time and have a free dinner in the Langar. Men, women and children of all castes, religions, colours and races sat and ate together. Many people cheerfully offered free service in the Langar and joined the sangat regularly.

"Why call him blind, who is blind by the Will of God? Nanak, it is he who will not understand God's Will, who should be called blind." (Guru Angad Sahib ji)

"What pleases Him, Nanak, is good. They who must abide by His Will, have no power of their own" (Guru Angad Sahib ji)

"When He gives His order, Men must follow, Men must act according to God's Will; Nanak, Men come when they are sent by God, And die when they are called by Him." (Guru Angad Sahib ji)
