There is no 'water god' this isn't mythical hindu god forum.

I see no reason why the body can't be buried because Dhan Guru Nanak Nirankaar's shroud was half buried and have cremated, which is openly suggested it makes no difference how one is dealt with once dead.

Gursikhs aren't superstitious we just try to do the practical when the end comes ...
