I don't think so much Mecca is the problem, I'd be very surprised if the Saudis allowed fanatical preachers to use Mecca as a stage. This is just an assumption of course, maybe you know for a fact Mecca is a voice for Fanatical islam. I think the bigger problem, is the small local mosques in Europe that are filled with extremists. They even use social media now a days, even a lone muslim in a 99.9% white town can get access to social media and get radicalized.

Yeah, I can see where you are coming from, but we don't really have set of "gurus law" like Shariah law.

I have seen that before, just uniting against common enemy, I'd be surprised if any unity still holds.

Geezer of course we have gurus/khalsa law, its basically wat we call maryada. Rehit maryada agreed by all sikhs factions was done pre-partition time. Also u then have nihang rules/regulations, which were sikh laws, as they were the rulers of the akal takht, even referred to as the 5th takht.

And one last thing, you'all like to do your prayers in Punjabi.

Muslims like to do their prayers in Arabic.

Bout time we started going back to doing our prayers in Latin.

So it all balances out of course, in the interests of a well balanced diverse society.

How would you like it if large numbers of us Christians started to pray in a language you don't understand?

I honestly think I should visit a good Sikh Temple, got any recommendations for the south east of UK, west london area?

Come on, thats a ridiculous point, Im sure no Sikh would care what langauge you choose to pray in. You can go find translations for any Sikh prayer you want anyways, if you want to know whats being said. I promise you we're not praying to have "kuffars" killed.

Sort of my point, every group/jatha has their own standards, but we have no set rules and punishments across the board. I wouldn't compare rehit maryada to shariah law anyways.

Nothing shud b compared to shariah law, pathetic man made rubbish.

Regarding sikhs, like i sed, buddah dal for example, were always the guardians of sikh law/order/do's/dont's, as they were the jathedars of akal takht, which in turn is the sole authority of sikhs.

We have shown, that wenever sikhs rule over land (ranjit singh/banda singh bahadur/misls), we rule justly and treat every1 as equals....same can never be said bowt muslim rulers, apart from akbar perhaps.

Ok Sangha let me take u up on your offer:

1. Do u believe pedophilia is wrong and bad (even if the pedophile in question is a Prophet of Allah)?

2. Do u think it is immoral for a 51 year old Arab slaveowner to marry a 6 year old girl?

3. Do u think it is immoral + evil for a 54 year old Arab slavetrader to sexually deflower a 9 year old girl called Aisha?

4. Do u believe slavery is morally acceptable just because the Quran condones slavery?

5. Because the Quran says men are free to have sex with their female slaves without consent do u think that is ok?

6. Because the Quran says women and slaves are inferior to male slavemasters do u think that is above criticism?

7. Because the Quran says women can be beaten if their husbands want to do u think that is above criticism?

8. Do u think terrorism supported by the Holy Quran is justifiable?

9. Do u think the Genocides carried out by Prophet Muhammad against non-Muslims should not be condemned?

10. Do u think it is fair that the Quran allows Prophet Muhammad unlimited wives and sexual slavegirls whilst restricting ordinary terrorists to just 4 wives (though normal Muslims are permitted unlimited numbers of sex slaves).

    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
    • Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi Kalan uses simple Punjabi.
    • Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it.
