Sikh/punjabi Athleticism And Physical Prowess

Recommended Posts

I visited there for about three weeks in 1996 , superb place , diverse landscapes and the Maoris well what I can say? that they reminded me of my brothers , the sense of humor, leg-pulling, clean humour, strict code of roles in family but in clan much respect for elders and wisdom of their ancestors , they hold their clan meetings in a building which respresents the legends of their kith and kin with heavily carved posts representing these stories and ancestors. The actual building is like being inside the body of a human the posts being the ribs , the clan take off their shoes before entering as it is a sacred space (funny thing is I had my shoes off before they told me about it) . The greeting is to touch your third eye area against the other person's and share a breath whilst holding the right hand of the person this is to connect with the atma/'Manna' of the other. They have a belief system which is spiritual but different from what we know.

Very keen warriors strong and fast: the tattoos on the faces are a religious rite and represent victories of their warrior lives , the chieftain daughters also have facial tattoos on chin and lips these signify status in clan.

Beautiful reminiscences
