tbh that can happen. But most of these ppl who marry non sikhs wouldnt want their kids to really follow sikhi and even if they did they wouldnt want the world to knw they are arguing with their husband. It buys into the whole 'i told u so' when they were told by their parents not to do it.

BTW is it true sikh parents are cool about their kids marrying christians/gora? Or is this a lie made up by ppl in our kaum?

You really need to visit other forums to find out what people thing about interfaith and interrace marriages. They don't write positive comments. Everyone wants to marry in there own race and religions and many don't recognise marriages outsiede there ethnicity or religion. You need to all wake up and stop thinking it a good thing. Both are evil, whether interfaith or interrace, these marriages donot work. They both have problems. In interfaith marriages, the couples just pretend they understand each othes religions but they never do. They pretend to keep the peace only. Their children also know how fake the parents are when they do this to stop fights with each othes and the relateves. In the end children change there religions to other relgions or become atheists. Interrace marriages are too full of problems as the couples come from alien cultures from their birth cultures. There is always one who has to compromise all the times and the children soon learne who is the stronger out of the two parents. One partner has to give in always and the marriage is not equal it is unfair. The children also suffer in this set up.

Inter-racial marriage isnt a problem in Sikhi. In fact Sikhs should be encouraged to marry outside their caste/race if they want to as long as the other person is a Sikh.

The problems begin when you have a person brought up in one culture/religion and their partner brought up in another. Then its very difficult to reconcile the deep rooted differences of what they are comfortable with.

For example I've talked to a few Indian hindu/sikh girls who dated white atheist/christian guys and asked them why didnt you marry them? Or why did you get divorced the simple answers were the white western culture is very much about the self and selfish geared towards getting pissed and getting laid and thats about it the Indian culture on the other hand is centred around the family and looking out for one another in the community.

When you have coconut bimbo Indian girls brought up in totally western white culture then they dont really have problem of that culture clash when they date/marry white guys but they still end up regretting getting with the white guy cos the white guy if he is of atheist/christian ideology will mostly just want to use and abuse the "exotic" Indian slag for a good time until a hot beautiful white girl comes along that makes him feel comfortable in his own skin.

End of the day these Indian girls who date outside their race will never be accepted by Indian guys who have a brain because they have shown their disloyality to the community and therefore will teach the offspring to be likewise. Indian guys who get with white girls face similar problems because the offspring will take after the white womans culture if she does not convert to the guys religion/culture.

So inter-racial mixing is allowed in Sikhi but only with fellow Sikhs.

if your punjabi parents allow you to marry any old white/black who is atheist/christian/muslim then your parents are are basically atheists themselves and you should ensure you carry the torch for Sikhi cos your parents dont know jack all about what their faith means and how important the demographics of the faith is.....

Muhammad and his followers back in the days knew very well why population matters. This is why to this day muslims know very well what demographics means while our lot are pendu's who dont have any clue of how the world works. Muslims insist and enforce people to convert to islam and have a high birth rate so they can take over societies and countries. Sikhs need to wise up that fact and make sure in order for Sikhi, human rights and freedom to survive and spread it be enforced by demographic drive rather than liberal atheist lefty lazy approach.

I have also known many sikh girls and boys marrying outside of there race and religion with there childrren ending up with muslims and also having kids with them outside of the marriage. Many punjabi sikh girls also having ended with black guys and having kids with no marriage.

yup it happens same with muslim girls to its not like their community doesnt have girls who run off with non-muslims but most cases of indian girls marrying out is with hindu girls. White atheist/christian girls are the easiest then its black girls then its hindu gurls then sikh girls and then its muslim girls.

To be honest these things will happen in a multi-racial multi-cultural country you cant stop these things happening girls will rebel and be whoores if their mothers, media, government schemes or peers taught them to be like that. It's just how it is...

Sunday Morning Live, talk about Interfaith Marriage.

Poor Jagmeet Singh of Basics of Sikhi could not get a word in edgewise.

Just saw that and oh dear another face in palm moment he totally ruined the sikh image by clashing with presenter and issuing a protest at the end when they had finished the topic on the issue.

I agree he wasn't given a chance to air his views the 4 non-sikhs guests there were hostile and keen to bash the Sikh protestors but jagmeet should have remained slient and retained his composure rather than giving a negative impression of turbanned Sikhs that jagmeet has now left many viewers.

The BBC deliberately choses Sikhs like non-british born jagmeet who may have the passion for the cause but have low IQ's and understanding how the white british atheist christian. / jewish media works to air their views because they want to give the narrative that only m0ronic thugs are protesting.

    • Net pay after taxes. If you don't agree, think about this: If you were a trader and started off in China with silk that cost 100 rupees and came to India, and you had to pay total 800 rupees taxes at every small kingdom along the way, and then sold your goods for 1000 rupees, you'd have 100 rupees left, right? If your daswandh is on the gross, that's 100 rupees, meaning you have nothing left. Obviously, you owe only 10% of 100, not 10% of 1000. No, it's 10% before bills and other expenses. These expenses are not your expenses to earn money. They are consumption. If you are a business owner, you take out all expenses, including rent, shop electricity, cost of goods sold, advertising, and government taxes. Whatever is left is your profit and you owe 10% of that.  If you are an employee, you are also entitled to deduct the cost of earning money. That would be government taxes. Everything else is consumption.
    • No, bro, it's simply not true that no one talks about Simran. Where did you hear that? Swingdon? The entire Sikh world talks about doing Simran, whether it's Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh, Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi, or Sants. So what are you talking about? Agreed. Agreed. Well, if every bani were exactly the same, then why would Guru ji even write anything after writing Japji Sahib? We should all enjoy all the banis. No, Gurbani tells you to do Simran, but it's not just "the manual". Gurbani itself also has cleansing powers. I'm not saying not to do Simran. Do it. But Gurbani is not merely "the manual". Reading and singing Gurbani is spiritually helpful: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥  ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The Lord's Bani and the words are the best utterances. Ever sing hear and recite them, O brother and the Perfect Guru shall save thee. Pause. p611 Here Guru ji shows the importance of both Bani and Naam: ਆਇਓ ਸੁਨਨ ਪੜਨ ਕਉ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗਹਿ ਅਨ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The mortal has come to hear and utter Bani. Forgetting the Name thou attached thyself to other desires. Vain is thy life, O mortal. Pause. p1219 Are there any house manuals that say to read and sing the house manual?
    • All of these are suppositions, bro. Linguists know that, generally, all the social classes of a physical area speak the same language, though some classes may use more advanced vocabulary. I'm talking about the syntax. That is, unless the King is an invader, which Porus was not. When you say Punjabi wasn't very evolved, what do you mean? The syntax must have been roughly the same. As for vocabulary, do you really think Punjabis at the time did nothing more than grunt to express their thoughts? That they had no shades of meaning? Such as hot/cold, red/yellow/blue, angry/sweet/loving/sad, etc? Why must we always have an inferiority complex?
    • I still think about that incident now and then, just haven't heard any developments regarding what happened, just like so many other things that have happened in Panjab!
    • There was a young Singh from abroad who went to Anandpur Sahib Hola and got into a fight with some Punjabis who were playing loud non-religious music. He had bana and a weapon or two. There were more of them than him.  He ended up losing his life. Don't be like that. Not worth it to fight manmukhs. @californiasardar1 ਮੂਰਖੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਲੁਝੀਐ ॥੧੯॥ Argue not with a fool. p473
