jkvlondon
Do ardas at night for help with the Amritvela , drink a large drink of water just before sleeping , move alarm away from easy reach ideally across the room so you have to get out of bed to switch it off .

Brother Guest Lost Singh Jee, please keep in mind, if Kalyug is taking over you, it is only, because you are willingly allowing it to control you. Kayug is not something which comes surprisingly and one is not aware of it, and when one comes to know about it, it is late. It is like, someone with the eyes closed is embraced to a tree, and shouting help, help, the tree is binding me .....and then a passerby seeing the scene, tells him, o good man, open your eyes and let off your arms around the tree, it is you who is holding the tree, not otherwise... Funny, isn´t it? Maybe. But, that is our condition. I am sure if we had that love and pull towards Guru Jee, no alarm clocks are needed. When a lover is willing to see or meet his/her beloved, no watch reminder/time looking is needed, it automatically attracts us to our beloved, even before time, nobody has to remind us to go and meet our beloved one. The same is with Wahiguru. If we loved Him as much as little, as we love, or like, our worldly relations, then even that would be enough. Telling you all this, my intention is not to make you feel guilty, but rather to make you aware of, that you have a enormous potential of the wealth of love and sharda for Wahiguru within you, take it, use it, and become spiritually dhanvaant/rich. Now your esteem is low, to regain confidence, take one step at a time and move forward confidently, do not rush to change drastically the situation, because then nothing will happen. When you see kaam approaching you, face it bravely, and give it a hard punch on its face immediately, to knock out it, do not wait to be attacked, otherwise it will defeat you. You have to keep an eye on this wicked vikar, along with that, do ardaas, do bhajan bandagee regularly, keep the company of healthy noble surroundings of gursikhs, that will help you learn to walk again on the path of sikhee. Also keep in mind, you are a sikh of Sachay Patshah, (while kaam is a servant of Kaal), and as such, you have the weapon of His Naam Simran to defeat any such enemy vikaar. You just have to exercise with it regularly, then though you may not be aware, but these dusht vikaars will not attack you, for they know, if they even dare coming closer to you, they will be smashed, with that your weapon of Naam. God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.

Guest Read this!
Someone sent me this: Symptoms of Spiritual Sickness From discussion forum Here are some symptoms that your spiritual Jeevan is in trouble: Slipping amrit vela and even attempts to wake up are not successful. Waking up consistently after amrit vela is the eventual conclusion of this trend. Increased time on internet and in front of TV Less paath and missing banis; no desire to do paath Dropping "small" rehits like doing keshi ishnaan, doing kangha twice a day etc Less concentration and ability to do paath and simran Less desire to go to gurdwara and stay in sangat Increased vikaar especially anger and kaam Rationalizing faults and mistakes in rehit as "acceptable" and "understandable" or "I'll fix it later..." *Root Causes:* Serious mistake in personal rehit Ego and pride Looking down and belitting other Gursikhs *Cure:* Ardaas to Guru Sahib for forgiveness Speaking to other Gursikhs about problems Peshi before punj pyarai for serious mistakes in rehit Going to sangat even if there is no desire. Forcing yourself to fo no matter what. *Note*: It's best to recognize the sickness early and combat it. Otherwise, things keep getting worse till you're in real trouble and recovery is a big uphill battle.

Do naam Simran from 12:30/1am onwards, it's a really powerful time to do it. When you read paath, understand it, read a translation if needed, and apply it in action to your life. Don't lie, not even white lies, practice good deeds-do bandgi. Mediatatmeditate on the meanings of Gurbani, Japji Sahib Ji is beautiful, it mool mantar is really all that's needed- Gurbani is an extension of mool mantar. Japji Sahib tells of different beings, of different khandhs, of what's needed to be a good soul. God bless you
