Sangat Ji daas has been blessed to hear many kathas on the spiritual side of Sikhi (bani, naam, Shakti of abhiyaas, avasthas of sants etc) and I've heard that among all the mahapurakhs Sant Thakur Singh Ji had the highest avastha? Is this true? Feel free to drop anything about any mahapurakhs or anything in general about Sant Ji.

What is there to gain from this question. Since you have asked, read 8th Ashtpadi, Pauri #7 of Sri Sukhmani Sahib, for answers.

Bro you have a penchant for asking controversial questions and hardly ever engage in veechaar yourself.

Phaji, controversial means when you say something that is there solely aimed to cause public disruption. I ask questions because I have a genuine urge to ask questions which I have no other sangat who can answer. Sorry if you think I'm doing this to cause controversy as you believe it is my "penchant" to do so. I'll do my best to stop asking "controversial questions". I think a better suited word would be deep as appose to "controversial". Additionally, I do actually engage in veechar now and again Ji - not as lot as I used to do as I was on holdiays but I started off doing veechar before asking questions. Hope that helps and that I haven't offended anyone.

Vaheguru Ji.

U heard of Sant Isher Singh Ji Rara Sahib wale? They had an EXTREMELY high spiritual state. That's why they were called a Kaarak Mahapurash. A saintly being sent directly down from dargah.

Yes Ji, I've heard about them. Really are so blessed to even know about their existence. I've heard about how powerful and mahan they were.

What about sant Nand Singh ji I think nanaksar wale I’m talking about. The one who use to keep their hairs tied to something so that when they’ll fall asleep while doing Abhiyaas their hair will get pulled and they won’t sleep. I basically wanted to ask this if this is true. I just heard it from someone and I was little surprised coz as little knowledge I have I thought these tricks were used by people way back in days who just wanted to get ridhiya sidhiya and they would use so many other jugitiya like that.

    • Hi All, I havent been on this forum for a while but I thought id give it a try again as it helped me through some rough times earlier in my life. I wanted to seek for guidance on sikhi and marriage ... I noticed a post earlier on sanjog etc. and it got me thinking about my own life and marriage. For context, I have been married 3 years and things are not working out. When we met, I looked in to sanjog alot and it felt like it was written. However, as these years have gone by its become apparent that we no longer align with each other and our marriage is struggling. We dont seem to understand each other and things have fallen apart. We are at a stage now where separation/divorce is looking like the best option. Neither of us are happy and whilst we have tried to work things through in many different ways, after 3 years we have drifted away. What are the sikh views on this? is it written if we decide that we no longer serve each other? or is that a sin and should I continue to work at it? my issue at the moment is that it is draining me. I feel withdrawn from everything due to things going on between us including sikhi and going to the gurdwara.  Breaks my heart to even be writing this but I do think if we are both not happy and cant see a way of being happy then what is the point in continuing? Or should I be continuing and is it paap if we dont honour our laavan? if that is the case, what does sikhi say about marriage? how do I continue knowing everyday I feel the way I do?   Thanks

    • I'll use this place as my spiritual journal so if anyone wants to join then feel free to! I'm not sure if this could be classed as an experience but last week (or 2 weeks ago), I felt my saliva to be sweet however I lost it after a week. I don't really regret it though, if I lost it then it's Hukam Another point, I feel my concentration to be very good for a while, I can focus on the void for a longer period of time than I could before. I also feel a lot more Anand, it's all Guru di kirpa
