Nanak Kuan gets a gurdwara

* Denizens of Maghar town near Gorakhpur in UP believe that Guru Nanak Dev and saint Kabir met at Maghar.

* When Guru Nanak visited the place, it was reeling under a drought. So he got a well constructed which is known as Nanak Kuan.

* Even though there are no Sikhs in Maghar, a large number of persons have faith in Guru Nanak and are known as Nanak Panthis.

* Earlier, the Nanak Kuan Gurdwara had 2.5 acres in its name, but there was no building.

* Gurdwara building to be ready in a few months

It is traditionally believed in the Sikh panth that Guru Nanak Dev ji met Bhagat Kabir ji and that Bhagat ji took dikhia from Guru Sahib.

The reason that some historians deny that is that they have a problem with portraying Guru Nanak ji as the greatest:

These "historians" want to portray Guru Nanak ji not as the highest, but rather as just another wandering sadhu of many.

this bit about the article is inaccurate.

Nanak Panthis are sehajdhari sikhs. Many of them also don't have Singh in their names, and at least they don't do beadbi of Singh name even if they do cut their kesh or their children's kesh.
